Sevanavank is a monastery named after its location on the top of the Sevan Peninsula at the source of the Hrazdan River. The time of construction of the temples existing today is the end of the 9th century. The patroness of the monastery, who allocated money for the construction of churches, is the daughter of the founder of the royal dynasty of Bagratuni - Mariam. Among the unique artifacts of the monastery, a carved wooden door stands out depicting the plot of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, a unique khachkar with the image of Jesus and illustrations to the gospel, which is quite rare for khachkars. The complex consists of the temples of St. Karapet and the Holy Apostles, built in the IX century. Once the monastery played the role of a fortress outpost, it was a strategic point glorified by the university.

Sophia and george were lovely. Sophia was very knowledgeable about armenia and you could tell she is an experienced tour guide. Very much enjoyed the day.
A truly delightful experience. The tour was highly organized, and the team’s punctuality and care were evident throughout the entire trip as they assisted us at every turn. The selected locations were both beautiful and culturally rich, with their histories wonderfully presented. Also highly appreciated our accommodating driver Giorgi and our excellent guide, David, who truly enhanced the experience.
The driver drives recklessly, putting your life at risk more than once. The guide does not know how to create empathy. The worst tour I have taken in Georgia. I do not recommend it to anyone.
The content is very substantial. But it is a long journey. It was a 17-hour tour. The car seat was small and spicy. Still, it was an experience I couldn't do on my own, so I'm glad I took part.
Had an amazing day to Armenia from Tbilisi! Excellent driver and guide!
The excursion is cool, in one day visited so many places of another country - and churches ancient and lake and the main city of Armenia Yerevan. All clear, by timing. Delicious lunch stop. The guide told everything, showed the organization at the highest level. Thank you very much!
Super trip with a lot to see. Knowledgeful and good guide. Prepare for a long trip. Missed the little extra with some water during the trip but otherwise good. Nice and good buses, good driver!
Long day but very worth it Would have liked an extra hour to walk around Yerevan
Was really a great experience with Khato how passionate she’s about Armenia, the tour, and her job… really it’s been a pleasure had so much fun in this trip as well as amazing sightseeing Thank you Khato
Great trip to see a different country. Our guide, Paata, was excellent. Very informative and controlled the timings well. The bus was very comfortable.. The monasteries and lake stops were lovely. Yerevan is a nice city. The trip is a long one but the stops are well spaced.
