FANTASTIC experience!

What an AWESOME experience! I had a layover at Addis Ababa so did a half day tour & had a fantastic time! Fitsum is such a wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide. As a solo traveler, being in safe hands is so important which I had with Fitsum. Communication before the tour was very good, he arrived on time for pick up & everything was well organised! From Fitsum's anthropological knowledge, to his city knowledge & great conversation, I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. I left knowing SO much about Ethiopia & it's history & tasting some lovely food! I would 100% recommend doing this or any tour with Fitsum (Akuye Tour Company). Also, if you're a coffee lover, this is DEFINITELY a tour you don't want to miss. Thank you so much Fitsum!

This tour exceeded my...

This tour exceeded my expectations! Our guide stayed with us from morning until evening, providing an incredibly detailed and engaging experience filled with rich history and cultural insight about Ethiopia. I especially loved learning about the first human at the Ethnological Museum — it was fascinating and deeply meaningful. He is truly a wealth of knowledge and very passionate about what he does. My friend and I also enjoyed the coffee tasting, which added a special local touch to the day. I would absolutely book this tour again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone visiting Addis Ababa.

ADDIS ABEBA PRIVATE CITY TOUR

ADDIS ABEBA PRIVATE TOUR We booked a private city tour to make the most of our long wait at the airport. Our guide, Fitsum, and his driver took us on a fascinating journey through the city's rich history. We started at the museum, where Fitsum shared his knowledge of the city's publishing heritage. Next, we visited the royal palace, now home to the university, and explored the vibrant markets, including a stunning clothing market. However, the highlight of our tour was undoubtedly the local market, where we discovered an array of exotic spices and immersed ourselves in the sights and sounds of the city. Our tour culminated in a delightful coffee ceremony and dinner at Yod Abyssinia Traditional Food, where we were treated to traditional dances and songs. This was truly an unforgettable experience. We were impressed by the city's modernity and cleanliness, as well as the warm hospitality of the locals. Overall, our tour was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore this vibrant city. Thank you to Fitsum, our excellent guide, for making our tour so enjoyable. Truly an unforgettable experience. Do not hesitate to book!

A tour with Fitsum is more than your average tour, it's a journey into the heart and soul of Ethiopia. We initially booked a single-day tour, but his incredible knowledge, warmth, and professionalism led us to spend the entire duration of our trip exploring with him. He was truly an outstanding guide who meticulously curated an unforgettable experience. We visited various museums, markets, restaurants, and the world’s most beautiful churches (I’m convinced!). At every stop, Fitsum's passion and expertise was evident as he provided fascinating insights into the history, culture, and traditions of each place we visited. Beyond his comprehensive tours, Fitsum went above and beyond by providing recommendations for us to explore Addis Ababa on our own. His deep respect for and from the people we ran into along the way was apparent everywhere we went, which truly made us feel welcomed and at ease in his care. I can confidently say my trip would not have been as enriching or memorable without him. Fitsum is a rare and special guide, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone visiting Ethiopia.
