An early start for the first day of our tour package, Red Dirt Tours had arranged for us to get breakfast at a nearby establishment. The bus arrived at the appointed time and Bec, our guide, introduced herself. Throughout the day she was informative, professional and passionate about all aspects of the tour. She talked about the geology and local flora and fauna. The first part of the day involved a visit to a private station. The views from the top of the “jump up” were spectacular. The second part of the day was a visit to the Dinosaur Stampede where the stampede guide gave us an interesting talk about all the fossilised footprints that were at the exhibit. The whole 8 hours of the day passed very quickly. It was a great day out!
The tour was fantastic, Bec our guide gave us plenty of information about the local flora and fauna and everything in between. Being able to see most of the animals and slowing down for us to see was just great! Thanks Bec
Thank you so much for this amazing review! Bec will be thrilled to read your kind words. Bec truly loves sharing her passion for Australia's native wildlife and local plants. We agree that taking the time to slow down and really observe the animals makes for a special experience. Thank you for choosing Red Dirt Tours.
From the moment our tour guide and driver, Bec picked us up we knew it would be a great day . She was so cheerful, patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the environment and history of the area. The bus was comfortable, the food was good and the outback country was beautiful. But Bec was definitely the highlight of the trip - thanks Bec!

We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour to the Dinosaur Stampede and Carisbrooke Station and property. The trip to the ‘jump up’ or mesa top was great, very scenic and previously unseen vegetation and landscape was enlightening. A well organised trip, good food and our driver Peter? was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, excellent commentary and genuinely interested in the Conservation Park and his job.
"Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled you had such a fabulous day exploring with Peter. His passion for the environment definitely shines through! We will be sure to pass along your kind words to him. We hope to welcome you back for another great tour in the future, there is much more to explore!
A fabulous way to see the Lark Quarry dinosaur stampede - interesting itinerary, amazing scenery, great food and friendly and knowledgeable guide. Good value.

Really excellent tour and our guide Bec was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable on a wide range of topics from local history to wildlife to plants and a lot more, and very passionate and enthusiastic. Carisbrooke station had great scenery and interesting history, and the stampede was also very interesting. The included meals were also very good and the pick up and drop off were seamless and the bus comfortable for the long drives.

Bec and Peter were our tour guides to Age of Dinosaurs and the Stampede and were both excellent. Highly recommended because of their combined knowledge of the entire Winton region. Very helpful and courteous and you could ask them anything. Such diverse knowledge is invaluable. Enjoyed both tours and couldn't speak more highly of Red Dirt Tours.

Wonderful tour, Bec was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. Her insights made the whole experience far more enjoyable than it would have been had we made our own way to Lark Quarry. Plus we didn’t have to drive! Bec’s passion for the region has helped create a special place in our hearts for Winton and its surrounds.
