The Slea Head Drive is one of Ireland's most scenic routes, forming part of The Wild Atlantic Way, beginning and ending in Dingle. It takes in a large number of attractions and stunning views on the western end of The Dingle Peninsula. It takes you on a journey through historic sites, Irish speaking villages, with close up views of the world renowned Blasket Islands.
The exact age of The Bee Hive Huts is uncertain, and different theories date them anywhere from the eigth to the 12th centuries AD. It's likely hermit monks once lived i them, though pagan's may have also called some of the cone-shaped structures home even earlier. You may also feed a baby lamb at this location!
Dunquin is a Gaeltacht village which lies at the most westerly tip of the Dingle Peninsula. Dún Chaoin is renowned for its scenery and its surviving Gaelic culture.
Reask is a ruined early Monastic site. Although very little remains of the buildings but low walls and a cross slab standing stone which sits in the middle of the compound. This site gives a very good idea of the layout of a small monastery of the early medieval period. After the oratory was abandoned, the site was used as a children's burial ground.
The famous Gallarus Oratory is completely made of stone and resembles an up turned boat. Various dates have been suggested for its construction but an exact date for same is not available. Some believe it may be 1300 years old.
Dingle is a small port town. A statue of long time harbour resident, fungi the dolphin is by the waterfront. Dingle is a creative and imaginative place, it is a town of many charms, known for quality food and restaurants, interesting shops and galleries, a friendly dolphin, vibrant street life and a good attitude to life.

This was the best tour and Kevin (tour guide) was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this tour and him! ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful experience visiting the Dingle Peninsula and touring along the coastline with Sheila, our Tour Guide/Bus Driver! She was so lively and fun as she shared the history of this beautiful countryside! An extra bonus-Sheila had delightful songs to and poetry to share with us! Murphy's Ice Cream-the best! For sure, this tour is a 10/10!!
Thank you for your kind words, we are delighted you enjoyed your tour as we strive to give you the best of memories, wishing you the very best for the future.
This may be a pleasant and interesting tour on a day with better weather and with a more engaged driver. Our driver didn't seem to be that fond of the tour himself and at times I wondered if we had had a miscommunication and this was actually just a drive, not a guided tour. We did see a few interesting spots but would have benefitted from a more directed and informative journey. Our driver did ask us at various spots "Do you want to see this?" or "Do you want to see this?" but without enthusiasm or any encouragement to choose one thing or another.
We had the most perfect experience you could wish for! The scenery was so amazing everywhere you looked and Our driver, Derick was amazing and generous.
Billie was our driver and he did a great job. This is a long drive and day so be prepared. It has many stops and awesome views and he takes you down roads no on can go on with a bus.
Loved our tour. Our driver Billie was excellent; he really went out of his way to provide us with a fabulous day. He made many stops allowing us to take in the scenery, and provided a lot of interesting detail. It didn’t hurt that it was an absolutely gorgeous day in Ireland! Loved the little beach town of Dingle and had an incredible seafood lunch at the Boat Yard.
We had a wonderful tour with Donal! He took great care of us and shared insight about the area. So many beautiful views and lovely towns along the way.
Hi Molly, It was our pleasure to be a part of creating special memories of your visit to our part of the world. We wish you all the best for the future and perhaps we will meet again. Best wishes, Kerry Taxi Tours.
Had a great time. Our driver William was fantastic. He Was so enthusiastic in telling us about Ireland that it infected us all with a joy you can’t buy. Wonder hums being. Felt like a friend we’ve known for years was taking us on tour.
We had a great time! Everything we saw was worth the trip. William was so very informative about everything and answered all of our questions. He was very flexible and accommodating of our group. We would tour with him again; it was a great value.
