The lunch menu mostly consist of seafoods specialities in crabs, grilled fish, coconut rice and non sea foods menus like beef and chicken, vegetarian dishes are also served upon request.

Funzi Island is one of Kenya’s most peaceful and least crowded coastal destinations, located off the southern coast near Bodo and Diani. It’s a place for travelers who want quiet, nature, and authentic coastal culture, not busy resorts or nightlife. What makes Funzi Island special Funzi feels untouched compared to more popular spots like Diani or Wasini. It is made up of mangrove-covered islands, sandbanks, and narrow creeks where life moves with the tide. Visitors often describe it as a “hidden paradise” because of its calm atmosphere and lack of mass tourism.
I recently experienced the Funzi Island Safari River Ramisi tour, and it was truly amazing. The boat ride along the Ramisi River was beautiful and peaceful, and spotting a crocodile was such an exciting highlight. We then visited the Funzi Nature Trail, where we enjoyed delicious, fresh seafood in a serene setting. The village visit was insightful and added a meaningful cultural touch to the whole experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for adventure, great food, and an authentic coastal experience.
Excursion to Funzi Island and lunch with fresh oesce, prawns, rice and tomato. All very good, excursion made in search of crocodiles in the mangroves, bathing on the atoll before entering the river. Small but beautiful island with a small village.
