Take an ethical walking tour of the Dharavi slum on this unique adventure in Mumbai. Discover its thriving small-scale industries, strong sense of community, and everyday life. Led by a responsible travel company, this tour directly supports local development initiatives. Follow a guide through Dharavi’s narrow alleyways, where you’re introduced to local residents and their small-scale industries — recycling, ceramics, embroidery, soap making and more — all manufactured by innovative means. Numbers are limited to six people, ensuring an informative experience with a small group. Proceeds from your local tour operator goes back into the local community to support a variety of educational projects.

Itinerary
Come visit Dharavi, the city within a city and one of Asia's largest slum. We shall cover places like The Recycling Area, Rooftop Visit, Popaddom Making, Kumbharwada Pottery Colony etc. The area is an industrial hub and is home to nearly one million of Mumbai's residents.
The tour will end at our office in Dharavi where guests can enjoy a soft drink and learn more about how funds are re-invested back into the community.

The most value for money tour I have ever done. We had the most amazing experience and learned so much. What an incredible community. Tons to explore and I did not realise how quickly the time went by. The length of the visit was just right. I’m glad it was not so crowded. Chetan was extremely knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to have him as our tour guide. Definitely a must if you want to experience all sides of Mumbai.

It's a good experience, iam also from India kerala but dharavi is different india, I wonder how such lot people live in a small area. Our tour guide chetan is super he know every details very well. Anyway it's a good experience...
