It was a good experience getting get out to sea and fishing. My only with was that there would have been i little more guidance on what to do to insure a better chance of catching a fish.
This was by far the most disappointing deep-sea fishing trip we've ever experienced. From the moment we got on the boat, it felt like the crew was more interested in fishing for themselves and their friends than helping the paying customers. We paid for a guided deep-sea fishing experience, but instead we were largely left on our own while the crew focused their attention on the back of the boat where they and their friends were fishing. The trip advertised and used live bait, yet customers were only given cut bait while the crew and their friends were fishing with live bait. When we asked about live bait earlier in the trip, we were told there wasn't any available and that we would be informed if they caught some. Later, we noticed the crew and their friends fishing with live bait. When we questioned why we weren't told, the response was, "Well, you didn't ask." How were we supposed to ask when we couldn't see what was happening in the back of the boat and don't know what catching live bait looks like? It felt dishonest and incredibly unprofessional. To make matters worse, I finally hooked a fish only to have my fishing rod come apart while reeling it in. Instead of receiving assistance from the crew, I had to figure out how to put the rod back together myself while trying to land the fish. Any time concerns were raised, the crew became argumentative rather than helpful. Instead of customer service, we were met with excuses and attitude. The overall feeling among many of the paying customers was that we were there to fund the crew's personal fishing trip. The lack of attention, poor communication, unequal access to bait, faulty equipment, and argumentative behavior made for a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this charter and would not book with them again.
Hello Rhonda, Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention. I will definitely investigate the details of your sail date, as we take our customer service very seriously. Thank you once again and please have a wonderful day.
