The trip to the waterfalls was amazing. We had a fantastic driver called Abdelaali who was very informative along the way on this 3 hour drive, stopped along the way for bathroom breaks both going and coming back. He sorted out our guide when we got there who was amazing. Throughly recommend this trip well worth the long drive.
The guide was terrible. His English was terrible. He seemed to explain things in detail to the French guests and then gave a brief explanation in broken English to us. He also lied to us about the cost of lunch at the beginning of the tour. He said lunch would cost 40 dhirums per person but after we finished lunch the waiter demanded 120 dhirums per person. When we talked to the guide about that he denied point blank about the 40 dhirums. Also it was never explained to us that the boat ride to the falls would cost a further 40 dhirums per person until after we sat in the boat. Also at the end of the tour he demanded a further 40 dhirums per person gratuity which we did not pay him as we were very disappointed with him by this time.
The falls are beautiful and was worth the 3 hour drive from Marrakech to visit. The advert says you need to be moderately fit but If you are sore/unfit in anyway, you will struggle as there are may steps.
Would have been better if lunch was at the falls instead of an hour away. The coach broke down on the way to lunch and we were stuck by the roadside for 3 hours waiting for a replacement coach! There are 500 steps down and up again so you need to be mobile. The rafts at the base of the falls were great fun.
The waterfalls are spectacularly beautiful and I would recommend a trip there. What I would not recommend is going there on this tour and instead going independently. The bus driver dropped us off with no indication of where or when he would be back to collect us instead we met our tour guide who started by saying he wanted a tip of at least 3 Euros. Instead of focusing on the waterfalls themselves he then took us on a tour of places nearby where we could spend money. If you do go on the tour I would suggest getting confirmation from the driver of where and when he will meet you so that you can then take your time to enjoy the falls by yourself.
The tour guide was excellent. We had a lot of flexibility with photo taking opportunities, or with just going off on our own. The drive to and from was air conditioned and very comfortable. I opted to buy peanuts to feed the monkeys, which was really fun. Highly recommend at a very affordable price.
Had a lovely day, much better than expected. Really well organised. Omar the driver drove carefully and was on time. Omar the tour guide was very professional, helpful and considerate. Would recommend anyone to go on it. Ouzoud falls was stunning!
You should first know that the journey takes 3 hours by bus before arriving at your destination. A transport took me to my hotel at 8:00 am , we went to meet other people at the Bus , we left at about 9:00 am... so an hour wait . Then we made about 3 hours drive with a 15 minute stopover. In Ouzoud we saw the falls from the top , beautiful , we went down on foot , and sometimes it is slippery and rocky so plan good walking shoes , We stayed some time for the photos at the base of the falls .it is beautiful. I advise against swimming because the water is brown. And we started climbing to go eat. Note: for people who are asthmatic like me, don’t forget your Ventolin ... a woman helped me with her own pump. Thank you. Then we continued the climb to see and feed the monkeys free and accustomed to man And back to the bus for another 2:45 3:00 drive. So departures at 8:00 from the hotel , return at 19:45 to the hotel . Nice adventure even if it was very long. If you have time I think it is to do.
The waterfall was beautiful. It is a very long drive. If you are looking for very touristy things to do I would recommend it. I would avoid this company though. The van ride there was comfortable but on the way back the driver refused to turn on the AC until everyone in the van started complaining. This was on a hot September day. The place itself is beautiful but overrun was touristy crap that mars the experience. Lots of people looking to nickel and dime you everywhere. Guide dumps you at a restaurant at the end where they charge you 10 euro for a chicken tagine with one chicken leg in it. After a long hike, I was basically overcharged to eat bread and a pot of onions. Then you have to find your own way from the restaurant back to the van. It was strange to just get abandoned like that.
This was un-organised trip. It says leaving at 08:00 but we actually made move towards the actual jurney at 09:40. we stopped for petrol (not sure why they don't do a day before). We went back to one of the passenger place not she of she forgot something We stopped at two shops because one of the passengers wanted to get something We went out of our way to get the final passengers. I am not a person who complains. It felt like nothing was paid for. although we paid the TripAdvisor for the trip. We had to pay for the tour guy, we had to pay for the boat. They don't tell you in advance there is alot of climbing up and down of stairs. Talking about 2-3 hours of walking and climbing. I would not recommend to my friends and family. we came back at 8 pm
