I felt that I paid way too much for this trip. I paid $300 which I felt was overpriced. Tickets and lunch weren’t covered. I also felt the guide was unprofessional. He laughed at me when I bumped my head hard on a low doorway in a castle. He did this immediately after I uttered “ouch!” Who laughs at something like this? I am actually a disabled person. If anything the guide could have asked if I was okay rather than amuse himself. He also felt the need to grin at me when grabbing a snack in Sibiu. Such weird behavior. If anything, I would like an apology and a refund.
beautiful experience to visit other sites and cities outside Timisoara. The tour was really very nice, and Segiu left us the free organization of the visit according to our preferences and needs. Really good and very helpful. Thank you for the wonderful visit
Grazie mille. Alla prossima!
Thanks to the airline Hisky, the city of Timisoara is reachable from many places in Europe and New York. After arriving in Timisoara, this is a worthwhile trip to do. I booked this as a solo trip. The guide Dan was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The first stop was for breakfast, where I had a burger for breakfast. While this may sound strange, it was a worthwhile stop since one of their burgers won second prize in a competition, and that was the only time to try it. Corvin castle was definitely worth seeing. The guide informed me that this castle appears in some Bollywood movies. After the castle, it was onto Sibiu. This area is worth visiting. There are unique houses in the area with openings in the roof that look like eyes looking at you. This is the area where I went for lunch. The guide was flexible as to where to eat. I wanted to try some Romanian food, and the guide knew a good restaurant. I was shown some of the main areas of Sibiu. Since I was a solo traveler, there guide was flexible after Sibiu, and asked if there was anything else I wanted to see. At that moment I declined the offer and we went back to Timisoara, as it was getting very late. There was a city of Deva between Sibiu and Timisoara that might have been interesting to see, but it was getting dark and there wasn’t enough time to see it properly. In the end, the tour lasted slightly longer than 11 hours.
Both Corvin and Sibiu are worth the visit. We didn't have enough time in Sibiu to enjoy the place more. Sibiu is a beautiful little town and half an hour extra for pictures would make the experience much better. In Corvin you have to decide between having enough time to visit the castle and have time only for a snack or not have enough time at the castle and have time for lunch. We opted for the first option since the castle is very interesting. This could also improve. Our guide was also knowledgable and nice.
I had a wonderful experience on this day trip. The guide was excellent — friendly and full of fascinating stories that brought both Corvin Castle and the beautiful city of Sibiu to life. Despite the distance, the time flew by, and the logistics were seamless. This tour is a must for anyone interested in history or architecture and based in Timișoara!
Great tour, practically a private tour, Andrei was a great guide, has a lot of knowledge, is very friendly, talks a lot about real life throughout the way. The castle in the middle of the road is quite different. The city of Sibiu is very beautiful and nice. The way back and forth was light and quiet, despite being a long road.
I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the guide Sergio was with me like a big brother to me, he explained everything to me in Corbin Castle and in the city of Sibiu. I am simply an amazing guy. I highly recommend him. A dear man, simply a treasure and a good soul. Of course, in the future I will choose him again. Highly recommended.
Both the size of the castle and the ambiance in Sibiu were totally memorable. The tour guide was perfect: knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly
This restaurant is still our favorite memory. This was my second time here. I ate here in 2023, and wanted to return. The menu is simple In their simplicity, the gentle flavors stand out and don’t get confused and overwhelmed. And our favorite wine we had here as well. The owner is very sweet and welcoming.
The guide, Sergiu, is knowledgeable, communicative, and effervescent. We gained deep insight about the history and culture of Romania. We had a wonderful time.
Happy you enjoyed our tour together! Do come back so we can see more of Romania!
