The meeting point is at 8:30 AM in Bari, at Corso Cavour, Largo degli Eroi. Hop on our comfortable 24-seat bus and get ready for a unique day as we travel through Puglia to discover two of its wonders: Alberobello and Matera!
Arrival in Alberobello around 10:00, where you’ll have 3 hours to wander among the famous trulli. Stroll through the town center and discover these masterpieces of traditional architecture at your own pace, or, if you prefer, join a 2-hour guided tour to learn about the history and hidden stories of the area.
Departure for Matera – A Change of Scenery: At 13:00, meet at the Alberobello Bus Checkpoint parking area, where the journey to Matera begins.
Matera – A Journey into History: Arrival in Matera at 14:30, right in the heart of the historic center, where you’ll have 4 hours to explore the famous Sassi. Wander through the charming alleys and cave dwellings, or, if you’d like a deeper experience, join a guided tour to uncover the hidden secrets of this extraordinary city.
Return to Bari – Emotions Along the Way: The tour concludes at 18:30 with the meeting point at the Castle (drop-off in Matera). After a day filled with history and beauty, hop back on the bus for the return journey to Bari, arriving around 19:30, with a heart full of unforgettable memories.

Lousy experience! They left us standing at the meeting place, no one ever showed up to take us on the excursion. We lost 150 euros
Three things I wish I knew about this tour before signing up: 1) The minibus we rode in didn't have air conditioning but lots of fans. It was very warm out -- and in the van. 2) We took the option with a guided tour. They outsourced the tour in Alberebello to another agency. While was the guide was good, the group was much larger than our group from the tiny, warm van. They also had a lot of people join us in Matera. 3) The pickup area was shared by many companies and it was hard to know which tour company was ours. Eventually a gentlemen with no company logo showed up to head us to the small bus. Overall this was a small bus ride but large tour group experience. For that i would rather be in a larger, more comfortable bus. That said both the guides were fantastic.

The outsourced guided portion and larger groups are sometimes necessary, but we understand this may not feel aligned with the idea of a small-group tour.
