Itinerary
Pisa, the birthplace of Galileo Galilei, is famous for its architectural works of art and has a lot to offer. It is situated in a vast plain on a level with the sea and divided in two by the River Arno. In Pisa we will visit the "Field of Miracles", where Pisa’s numerous legendary monuments stand: the Leaning Tower, the cathedral, the "Campo Santo" cemetery, the Baptistery, and the cathedral museum.
From Pisa we will drive to Siena through along the scenic roads of Tuscany. In Siena we will explore Piazza del Campo aswell as other historical monuments.
. You’ll reach San Gimingano, where the skyline made up of the 14 remaining towers and the views from above and below them will stun you and make you feel like you have stepped back in time. San Gimignano rises on a hill (334m high) dominating the Elsa Valley with its towers which date back to the 11 century. Once in San Gimignano, you will also see the "Duomo" or Collegiate Church, the "Palazzo del Popolo", the "Palazzo Nuovo del Podesta" (which is now the town hall), S. Agostino Church, the Museum of Holy Relics, and the infamous Museum of Torture, which displays early instruments of torture. On a lighter note, there are numerous shops which sell local products including the Vernaccia wine.

An excellent tour to escape the hustle and bustle of the city of Florence. While the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa was a key landmark of this trip, the quaint hilltop village of San Gimignano and the breathtaking Cathedral of Siena stole the show. Our guide Matteo was incredibly knowledgeable about virtually every subject we chatted about throughout the trip and he also treated us to a surprise secret spot for an incredible panoramic view of the entire city of Florence, away from the typical Piazzale Michaelangelo. If you get Matteo as your guide, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience!
Grazie mille 🙏. speriamo di riavervi presto tra noi.
What a wonderful day trip! Mario is an excellent guide with a lot of information about the places we visited, entertaining during the drive and a lot patience for all the photos we took and time spent at the wine tasting. The day trip started with a visit to Pisa first and then we spent the rest of the day in Tuscany enjoying the beautiful towns of Siena and San Gimignano, driving through wine country and spending an excellent time at a vineyard with a wine tasting. I can 100% recommend this private trip for a personal experience and a day to remember.
Thanks Giacomo for the tour and the great scenic roads, you were so kind. We appreciate the knowledge you share with us along the way and loved the place you suggest for lunch! Thank again, we made a new friend in Florence! Tuscan Safari, pisa and San gimignano tour From Texas

10 hours of too many wow moments to count. Simon was an excellent driver/guide. He really knows the history and facts of the areas we drove through, and provided just the right amount of commentary. Giacomo, our guide in Florence, gave us exceptional insights on our walk, all delivered with loads of Italian charm! When Simon asked us about our favourite part of the tour, we genuinely couldn't single out any one thing - we simply had a wonderful day from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour.
