Day trip on a sailing catamaran in Sardinia
Description
The special thing about a catamaran is the generous amount of space. Whether comfortably on the trampoline nets or together with the skipper on the flybridge. Perhaps if you prefer to sit in the cockpit with a view of the wake, the trip to the anchorage will already be extraordinary. In the bay there are several options to choose from, whether swimming, snorkeling, trying the stand-up paddle or great conversations on board in the sun or in the shade. From the old city harbor we start our trip along the docks of the ferries and cruise ships as well as countless mussel farms. We pass 'La Isola Bocca' with its landmark, the lighthouse of Olbia. The Gulf of Olbia is now opening up giving us the opportunity to open the sails
If a departure from Olbia is not possible or if we wish to see dolphins, we start in Golfo Aranci
Should the wind not allow a pleasant trip to the Golfo Di Marinella, we will sail south, past the Isola Tavolara. The island with a length of six kilometers and a width of one kilometer is known as the smallest kingdom in the world. With a height of 560 meters, this island is also very popular for climbing enthusiasts.
We pass the 'Isola Di Molara'. This island with a size of around 10 km² was inhabited from ancient times up to the 20th century.
The Capo Coda Cavallo is pure nature with long white sandy beaches. An ideal place to take a swim and stop for lunch. Here, too, other activities such as stand-up paddle, kayak or snorkeling can be practiced.

Yesterday, we were able to experience an unforgettable day with Uli and his dog Laila together with friends (10 people). Uli is a very empathetic tour guide who told us a lot about himself and his current adopted home. It was exciting for everyone to listen to him. We drove to some wonderful swimming and diving bays with turquoise water. For lunch, there was pasta according to a Sardinian recipe. There was delicious wine, water, and beer for the men to go with it. He kept the children occupied with little magic tricks. In the afternoon, there was also fresh melon. Uli and Laila are a well-coordinated team, and anyone who has a normal relationship with animals simply has to like them both. We can only recommend the trip to everyone. This is how you create memories.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an unforgettable day on the catamaran yesterday with Uli and can unreservedly recommend the tour! The very first contact was incredibly friendly and warm. Uli took care of everything all day long and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. The food was excellent, the drinks were sufficiently available at all times, and we really lacked nothing. It was especially nice to see how much fun our children had. They were able to play, swim, and enjoy the day to the fullest – a real highlight for the whole family. It was a perfectly organized excursion with a relaxed atmosphere, great bays, and many unforgettable moments. Thank you very much, Uli, for this wonderful day! We would go along again at any time.

A wonderful day with nice people from all over the world and a great captain, Uli, with the onboard dog, Leila. We were very well taken care of and enjoyed being just 9 guests on board. Swimming, snorkeling, and paddling. Unfortunately, the dolphins had other appointments 😉
The best experience in Olbia for the second year in a row. Ulli is the kindest captain we have come across so far. Great Guide, Entertainer and Chef. Not to mention his cocaptain Leyla who is a lovley Labrador that steals the show.
We had an amazing day with Uli and his dog Lilah! He was an exceptional host! Uli's boat is beautiful and spacious. We made plenty of stops to cool off and swim. Uli explained everythig that we saw. He also prepared a beutiful and delicious lunch and had plenty of snacks and beverages for the entire day. Don't hesitate to book with Uli. It will be the highlight of your trip!
We had the BEST day out on the water with Ulli and his dog Lyla! He was a perfect host and took us to see some of the most beautiful places - such a wonderful day! We travelled with our kids (ages 12 and 13) and they enjoyed the day as much as we did - highly recommend if you are looking for a fun, beautiful day out on the water.
I thoroughly recommend this excursion. I'm honestly so glad we booked it. Initially I thought it looked a bit expensive compared to some other similar sounding tours, but I liked the idea of not having too many people on the boat, so decided to bite the bullet. It ended up being the highlight of our trip and was well worth the money. Uli, the captain, was a brilliant host. Attentive, funny, relaxed, and he provided a delicious pasta lunch for us. His dog, Layla, being aboard and joining in with the paddle boarding was an added bonus. In total there were 9 people aboard, including the captain and a baby, so it really didn't feel crowded. It was our first time on a Catamaran so I wasn't too sure what to expect, and it really is a great way to spend the day. The pace was relaxed, the scenery and swimming spots were just glorious. There was lots of time to snorkel, swim and use the paddle boards and kayak (even to just chill out on the sea for a while). Sunbathing on the nets at the front of the boat with the water just below you is a really nice experience. If I ever return to Sardinia in the summer, I will hope Uli is still around and I will do it again.
Had an awesome time on this trip! Boat was wonderful , clean fully stocked plenty of room to walk around and relax the highlight was Leila the co pilot (captains dog) . She was so pleasant . Stopped at few stops around Tavolara and swam in the beautiful azure waters. Then had a great lunch made by Uli . I do not know why the negative reviews were posted but I was in the same boat and it was clean, as advertised and the captain and Leila were lovely . Do not pass up this operator . After the wonderful cruise Uli took the remainder of us to town and had some local food and some gelato . It was very comfortable clean and awesome trip !
