Not a great tour

Driver was polite and pleasant but spoke ,almost NO English. He could not answer any questions during the 3 1/2 hour drive. The palace buildings were b beautiful and the traffic was crazy and unbelievable. I did not think the tour was worth spending 7 hours in the car.

It was a very long drive to Phnom Penh from our ship, but or guide was most helpful and knowledgeable in explaining history of Cambodia on our way. His guidance helped us to at least have a little better understanding of the events in its history. We had time for lunch, and return in a timely manner

Visit to Phnom Penh

Excellent experience. Our driver Mr Tho was excellent - it was a long journey but very comfortable and enjoyable - good to relax before Phnom Penh. When we arrived there we met our guide Makara - he was brilliant- so knowledgeable. He explained everything to us and he was obviously passionate about the history of Cambodia. A real gentleman and answered our questions throughout the visit - big thanks to our driver and guide for making our visit worthwhile - would highly recommend

Great trip to Phnom Penh.

An excellent trip with a great driver, Vibol, and guide. Unfortunately the Royal Palace was closed but we saw plenty in the surrounding square. The Kmer Rouge genocide museum was very disturbing but a very necessary insight into Cambodias recent past.

Phnom Penh

Long, 2 1/2 hour trip to Phnom Penh from the port on little used expressway built by the Chinese. Interesting travel through the city with 2 other people in a nice Toyota van, navigating between cars, scooters, Tuk Tuks. Nice quiet tour of royal complex with knowledgeable tour guide and then tour of Genocide Museum, former Prison during the Khmer Rouge rule if Cambodia.

Once in a lifetime experience

There were 6 of us from the cruise ship that signed up for this tour in a minivan. We all worked well together. Lots to see and learn! I was the slowest walker on the tour but we still managed to cover all the sites in a short amount of time. A lot of driving but it is well worth it. Once in a lifetime experience!

If I was just rating the guide, I would give this tour 5 stars. Long was excellent. If I was just rating the transportation I would give it 1 star. It was a 3 hour drive to get to Phnom Penh, the back seat was very uncomfortable for the 3 of us back there. There appeared to be something wrong with the vehicle as we were not able to keep up with the other traffic. We had to leave Phnom Penh at 3pm without lunch as the driver said he needed extra time to get us back to the port. The return trip was 3.5 hours as we had to drive much slower than the rest of the traffic. Not sure if this vehicle should have been used for this trip. We only had about 3 hours in Phnom Penh so it was not worth the time spent traveling back and forth.
