Tsavo East is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola as well as a variety of bird species. Tsavo East National Park is without a doubt the jewel in the crown of Kenya's wildlife reserves. Being one of Kenya's biggest and oldest parks, it provides a special chance to fully appreciate the splendor of the continent's savannah scenery.

Tsavo East day trip begins with pick up from your hotel before sunrise (5:30 am) and follow the busy Mombasa – Nairobi road to the first gate to Tsavo East national park. Short stopover before entering the park via Bachuma gate. Embark on your first game viewing exercise in search of the red Elephants, lions nicknamed the “Man eaters of Tsavo”, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of wildlife can be seen especially during the dry season. Later proceed to a restaurant for lunch. After Lunch, leave for another game drive in this largest National Park in Kenya before your exit. Have a chance to see the BIG FIVE of Africa in this one-Day Tsavo East national park safari . There are numerous small and big game and different bird species to be viewed in this 1 day Tsavo east safari. Later drive out of the park and proceed back to your hotel arriving late in the afternoon.

Excellent day trip with African Beast Tours and Safari’s. We travelled from Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park. Within a few hours and thanks to our amazing guide Freddie we had already seen many of the big five. Main highlights were the countless elephants, giraffes, lions and ostriches. So much to see within a relatively short distance from Mombasa.
