In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

Amazing experience. Valley of the Kings was an experience not to be missed. Our guide gave us a lot of information about what we would be seeing in each tomb. The tour included 3 of the 4 tombs. The one that is not included is King Tuts. It is an extra charge. According to other visitors that we spoke to later, it is $15 and worth it but our guide never offered that option. The Karmac Temple and Queen Hapshephuts Tempel were also just amazing. Tip: use the restroom before you depart from the ship. It is over 3 hours and there are no bathroom breaks. Our tour ended at the Karmac Temple. It would have been nice if the guide told us that yes the restroom there since we would not be stopping again.
Excellent and professional service by the drivers for the transfers from my resort to Luxor to meet our guide. Very clean and spacious cars with air conditioning and water provided, the car met us on time and stayed us throughout the tour so me didn’t have to carry everything with us.

I’ve been to 6 continents, and Khalid was the best guide I’ve had. Knowledgeable, efficient and a great and willing photographer. He impressed me by his ability to make us feel comfortable and safe in a middle eastern country as two white-blonde haired American’s, something that helped set a positive tone for the rest of my trip. I never felt rushed. He is passionate about his job, you won’t regret booking a tour with this guy.
