Great day trip out of Dakar! Guide was very knowledgeable about the country and has experience leading tours all around Senegal. The park is beautiful and well taken care of. The animals all seem very healthy and wild. And lake is also beautiful and a relaxing way to end the tour before lunch. It's very hot, so recommend taking water and sun screen, although there are a few places you could stop to purchase these things.
A representative was at the pier with a sign with my name waiting to pick us up. We rode in a very nice van to the wildlife reserve. At the park we rode in an open vehicle and we were able to see many animals such as zebras, monkeys, giraffes, buffalo, rhinos, ostriches, alligators, etc. that roam freely in the very large reserve. The reserve was about an 1 1/2 hour ride from the pier and we spent about 2 hours there. Then we rode about an hour to a lagoon where we we able to ride in a boat and we're delighted to see many waterfowl. We returned to our ship without worry.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your tour with us in Senegal. You are always welcome.
I was picked up from the hotel in a car without air conditioning, so I had to sit for an hour and a half there and back, on the highway, with the windows open, in the heat, dust and polluted air. The guide did not give much information about the sights visited, and his English was not very good. For lunch, there was a variety to choose from, but the food was not very good. I say it is not worth the money because the entrance to the reservation is only 19€, and the boat ride in the lagoon cannot be too expensive. I do not recommend it, but it was my only option, traveling alone.
Sorry for the car that didn't have a good air conditioning. We will fix it next time. You just mentionned the entrance fee and you didn't include the park truck for the Safari and the park ranger. This is very far beyond your quote. Normally a single traveler should be expensive as we offer you private service for just 1 person. For the English level , we are not in an English speaking country. So not all the tour guides speak very good English but most of them have a good feeback with other English speaking tourists.
All as advertised. Bandia is a gated reserve but nice (lots of animals incl. Rhinos). Good lunch in Somone.
Finally seen mangroves, zebras etc. A dream come true
An exceptional adventure with Senegal with Alex! ✨ Authentic and well-framed moments. Serious and very pleasant guide. We're making the most of every moment. An experience to live absolutely!
Responsive , made sure I was good, picked me up from the airport and my luggage was able to stay in the car, and made sure I got to my Airbnb safely. They were kind and respectful and shared history tidbits along the way.
You are welcome.
We had a great day. Everything felt calm and not rushed. The sights were amazing. Information was helpful. And lots of pauses for great pictures. The safari and Laguna was very peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely recommend!!
Great tour of Bandia Reserve and Somone Lagoon. The lagoon is a great destination for birders especially.
Thank you for your feedback. You are welcome.
A very good use of time to see both places in one day. Even though it is not open land the park is large and you still get the feeling of being in a totally open area.
