Hatshepsut's chancellor, the royal architect Senenmut, oversaw the construction of the temple. Although the adjacent, earlier mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II was used as a model, the two structures are nevertheless significantly different in many ways. Hatshepsut's temple employs a lengthy, colonnaded terrace that deviates from the centralised structure of Mentuhotep's model – an anomaly that may be caused by the decentralized location of her burial chamber. We used Mohamed to drive us from The Hilton in Luxor to our Resort in Hurghada. We stopped to visit the lovely Dendera Temple on the way. He arrived early and was very polite. The car was cooled off for us when we got back from touring the Temple. He provided us with cold waters even though he was fasting for Ramadan. We would definitely use him again the next time we are in Luxor.

I did the same dandera abydos trip with Mohamed. Like my friend mentioned please do not use his service. We had to haggle a bit everywhere but this was a complete rip off. You would be better off using the service recommended by the hotel. At least you'll have the peace of mind. He charged us 50% extra to the agreed upon price. 1200 egp instead of 800. We both are contacting egypitan authorities regarding this.
hello You called me three days after the trip and asked if you had given me any extra money and you were answered in the negative I did not ask you to add any price that was not agreed upon. and your trip take 12 hours in this day.
We spent the whole day with our driver Mohamed and we are very grateful to him for his professionalism, kindness and punctuality! That was a very pleasant and interesting journey! Mohamed also assist us with the transfer to airport.

We had Mohammad for 3 days. He picked us up from the airport early morning. After dropping our luggage at the hotel, Mohammad took us for a tour of Karnak and Luxor temples. The next day he took us to Valley of the kings and queens, and few other places of interests; after the tour he took four of us (we were two couples) for an early dinner at his house. The dinner was extra ordinary, lavish and delicious. He introduced his beautiful family to us. On the third day Mohammad arranged for us a sunrise balloon ride. His charges for all the activities including the airport transfers were quite reasonable. We never felt if we ever were taken advantage of or short changed. In addition, he was pleasant to be with. He offered to arrange for us a guide, however, we opted to do our owner guidance.
