It was an amazing trip! I came as a solo traveler but enjoyed the company of the other people in the friendly group. The beauty of the seven lakes was astounding! The trip was capped off with a visit to the ancient archeological site Sarazm. Fascinating to see these ruins (and the associated museum) with so few tourists around.
Communication with the tour agent was ok. I needed to prompt them via Whatsapp myself before i got much instruction on what was to take place. But other than that, it was a good experience. Was nervous about crossing the land border between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, but it was really smooth! Opted to visit 4 lakes and then visit parts of the city to have an understanding for Tajik history. Nice quick hop over and quick view of the country!
Well organised trip. Great views. Our guide explained us a lot about Tadjikistan. She was very kind and friendly. Our drivers drove safely and profesionaly. Everything was perfect
We had a great, enjoyable experience. Our tour guide and driver were friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable.
Scenery spectacular. The drive up the mountains was awesome. Well oragnised. Driver clearly explained how to get through passport controlwho would pick us up other side and where to meet after transit back from border,
Thankyou and safe trip

Wonderful day trip ... Started w smooth drive who picked me up timely. crossed the border and was picked up by Parvina our very knowledgeable guide who gave us (a small group of people from all different countries) a warm welcome to her Tajikistan.
If you want to stay in Samarkand, you can easily go on tour to Tajikistan. Hotel pickup, Samarkand side driver to the border, walk across the border The Tajik side guides and drivers He'll be waiting for me. Dill, the female guide, is friendly. For explaining information about Tajikistan. It was fun. It was also interesting to drive in the mountains while driving off-road. There is no need to hike or walk, so anyone can join. I was very satisfied with the superb view. I recommend it.
The driver picked me up from my hotel on time, so after picking up the other two guests we also made the journey to the border control (approx. 1 hour). There were no problems on either side. The guide (Bibi) for my tour was waiting for me on the Tajik side. She and the driver took me to the first of the 7 lakes (takes about 25 minutes), where there was the first photo stop. Then we went through all the other lakes, Bibi explained everything in detail and also explained some ancient connections. She also complied with my request for a souvenir store. The tour in Tajikistan took about 5 hours. All in all, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, unfortunately the car had no air conditioning and it was very dusty on the way, so you can't have the windows open in the extreme heat. Nevertheless, a big recommendation from me. Translated with DeepL.com (free versio
