Itinerary
Monument 30 years of Victory in World War II, or as it is called by the people of Georgia - the mother is an eternal memory, which welcomes visiting travelers, as well as local residents at the entrance to the sunny city of Marneuli. The monument is presented in the form of a bronze woman who builds behind two children with one sword for two in her hands. Merab Konstantinovich Berdzenishvili - an outstanding sculptor of Soviet times, who created this masterpiece and received the corresponding award for it in 1976. The basic idea is that people remember the cost of winning the war.
Here we cross the border of Georgia and Armenia. Crossing the border usually takes 10-20 minutes.
The forests of Dilijan cover an area of more than 34,000 hectares. For the enrichment of the natural life around Dilijan, the state forest reserve was founded in 1958 to become known as Dilijan National Park later in 2002. Woods cover 94% of the park territory and with around 40 types of trees and 18 types of bushes, being mostly oaks, beeches, hornbeams, maples, elms, willows, etc.
Commemorating a legendary Soviet movie, Monument to the Heroes of the Film Mimino features statues of key characters and provides a great photo op. In the center of town, the memorial depicts three characters standing around a drinking water faucet in conversation. A photo opportunity for film connoisseurs or simply a spot to refill your bottle--either way, bring your camera.
Lined with traditional houses and artisan workshops, Sharambeyan Street takes you hundreds of years back in time. Situated within a national park, the area, popularly known as "Little Switzerland" for its forested hills and picturesque houses made of stone and wood, remains home of many Armenian visual artists, musicians, and filmmakers. Browse through the small shops or check into one of the guesthouses. The street is also home to an art gallery and a museum.
Lake Sevan - the Jewel of Armenia, known as the Geghama Sea. It is one of the largest high-mountainous fresh water lakes in the world. Here you will have lunch in one of the restaurants will a beautiful view. You can try Armenian cuisine and fresh fish from the lake.
Sevanavank Monastery is the most prominent landmark of medieval Armenian architecture. This is a monastic complex located not far from the town of Sevan.
Our return to Tbilisi is in the late evening, but we can also drop you off in Yerevan at your convenience.

Very good experience. Learnt a lot from our nice and knowledgeable guide Alexis. He’s a good driver and the car is also good. The whole travel was comfortable. We also had really great local food with his guidance. I still cannot forget taste of that dish of potato! I tried ChatGPT but cannot find name of that potato dish. Look forward to try it again!
Dear Xinwei, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the trip to Armenia and felt comfortable throughout the journey. Alexis will be thrilled to know his driving, guiding, and food recommendations made your day special. And yes — we’re especially glad our guide knows even more than ChatGPT when it comes to authentic local dishes 😊 Hopefully next time you’ll enjoy that unforgettable potato dish again! We look forward to welcoming you back for more adventures (and more delicious food) soon.
Long day in the car to see two or three stops. Stops were nothing exciting and felt more like tourist traps with lots of souvenir vendors. Scenery on a lone the drive was nice and guide was very knowledgeable, but just not enough to see for 12 hours. We opted to skip lunch and it was still 11 hours of winding roads.
We're sorry to see your two-star review, especially as you noted the drive was "nice" and the guide was "very knowledgeable" — both aspects we take great pride in. This tour covers some of the most iconic and historically rich locations in Armenia and, as clearly stated in the description, includes a significant amount of driving. For guests seeking a more relaxed pace, we also offer a two-day version of this experience. The stops visited — such as Dilijan and Sevan — are among the most beloved in Armenia, and while they are popular with tourists, they are far from "traps"; they represent important cultural and natural heritage. We understand that skipping lunch and enduring a long day on winding roads may have been challenging, but these were personal choices within the structure of a well-reviewed tour. We always appreciate constructive feedback, but it's disheartening when a review with acknowledged positives still results in a low rating, as it affects not only us but also the local communities we support. We hope your travels continue to be enriching and thank you again for joining us.

We had a great time in Armenia on our day trip from Tbilisi to Lake Sevan, with our very knowledgeable guide Guram. He shared with us both Georgian and Armenian history and patiently answered all our many questions. We enjoyed our time in Dilijan and Lake Sevan very much. The border crossing went smoothly both times (took about 20-30 min in the morning, and only about 10 min when we came back at night). Guram drove us safely on this very long day trip. We would definitely recommend him!
