Wonder trip and the river cruise was beautiful. Also toured the Melk Abby. A great way to see the Wachu Valley
Good tour. Knowledgeable tour guide.
Wonderful trip. The instructions regarding the departure location explained in an automated email were very clear.
We really enjoyed this tour it was a full day experience. First stop a picturesque wine growing village in the Wahau Valley, then an hours ride on a ferry boat on the Danube. One good tip from a review I read was to order lunch on the Ferry, saves time and enjoyable eating while sailing on the river. Then arriving at Melk being transported up to the Abbey, after a wander around the gardens we had a guided tour or the Abbey. It was all done at a leisurely pace, a really enjoyable day
Lots of walking at abbey but at a slower pace so not too bad for seniors Great boat ride with really good apple strudel
It was a nice combination of comfortable, informative, travel out of Vienna to a lovely little town and then on to catch the boat on the Danube. The Melk Abbey and tour exceeded my expectations.
Reasonable length ride to the various stops. The boat ride to Melk Abbey was especially nice. Our guide, Claudia, did an excellent job of giving us an extensive commentary on the history of the areas we visited.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The bus operator was safe. The Danube tour is amazing!
Visiting the Meik Abby and cruising down the Danube river was quite an experience. The river boat was comfortable and offered drinks and food. The Abby was a sight to see given all its history.
Despite a very good multilingual guide, we were a bit disappointed by this excursion. The bus tour of Krems is uninteresting; the village of Durnstein is picturesque but nothing more, and while the Danube Valley is indeed beautiful, we have many equivalents in France. Finally, the village of Melk has little interest, and the visit to the abbey was conducted by a Francophone guide with limited knowledge and approximate French. The visit is also very poorly organized, featuring a series of dark rooms with a few paintings and objects lacking real coherence. The church is the most spectacular, as well as the staircase.
Dear Leguillen, thank you for your feedback! We always strive to meet our guests expectations and feedback like yours helps us improve our products. We are happy you enjoyed the tour with our guide. The Danube Valley is a unique region in Austria and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We are sorry that the experience in Melk Abbey was not up to your expectations. To improve our partnership with Melk Abbey we take your feedback to heart. We hope you had a great time overall and could enjoy yourself, kind regards, Ines Heinzl CONTACT CENTER Opernring 3-5, Top 508-529, 1010 Wien +43 1 712 46 83 Vienna PASS GmbH Firmengericht: Handelsgericht Wien Vienna Sightseeing Tours Wiener Rundfahrten GmbH & Co.
