The full day excursion to the Danube Bend is one of the most popular whole-day trips from Budapest. It offers a varied program with both historical and scenic sights. There are many ways to customize the itinerary based on your interests and wishes. Mountain peak Dobogókő is a great introduction to the Danube Bend region. Afterwards we visit two of Hungary's former royal seats (Esztergom and Visegrád). We drive to several lookout points from where you can see the Danube and the surrounding area from different directions and angles. Finally, the walk in the old town of Szentendre, the exhibitions, the cafes and the small shops is a fitting way to end the day.

At 700 meters high, Dobogókő is the highest mountain peak in the region and offers a wonderful view of the entire Danube Bend.
The basilica in Esztergom is the largest religious building in Hungary and the country's most important archbishopric. After a detailed inside tour of the church there is the possibility to visit the crypt and/or the treasury as well. The fee to be paid for the guided tour of the Basilica is included in the tour price. f you like physical challenges, you are more than welcome to climb to the highest dome in Hungary. You will be rewarded with a breathtaking view from there.
From the bastion with the monument to the coronation of the first king of Hungary you can enjoy the great view of the city, the Danube with the Marie Valerie Bridge and the Slovak side.
Dömös is a small place right in the middle of the Danube Bend. A short stop on the shore at the pier offers an interesting view of the U-shaped river.
The citadel in Visegrad is the most famous fortress in the region. We visit the best lookout points and the historical exhibitions.
The small baroque artists' town is a great end to the day trip in the afternoon. Stroll through the narrow streets, on the Danube promenade and visit a few of the numerous art exhibitions and cafés.
