Great day out. Tour guide lilly was very informative. Good pace through the day. As we ran early a few other things thrown in. Over all good value

What a great day in the Dampier

We had a great day on this tour. We learnt and saw a lot about the Dampier Peninsular. Lillian and Claudio were our guides and made the day fun and easy. They showed us some of their favourite places and served us lively morning and afternoon teas.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES ON A LONG DAY

I can understand why some people could give this tour a 4 or 5 star rating, but for me some things were disappointing, especially the Dampier Peninsula having such a beautiful coastline and only catching glimpses of it. I believe they used to swim on this tour, but no longer. Also our bus was 40 minutes late in the morning. I did receive a call, but no apology from the driver. We had to wait until we got to Beagle Bay to get a working microphone, but to Pete’s credit he did go over all the stuff again. Now Beagle Bay has a very nice church made of crushed shells , and is a morning tea stop. Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was very interesting, particularly since we had a very knowledgeable guide, Tamika. Barramundi lunch there was good, but not much salad. Next we went to Ardyaloon Aquaculture Farm to see some turtles and other interesting sea creatures. I asked the driver if we could stop at Round Rock Lookout to see views of the Buccaneer Archipelago and huge tidal movements. A visit to Lombadina Aboriginal Community was the last stop. I should complement our guide Peter who was very informative and an excellent driver.

Great cultural experience

A very informative bus trip on the way to Beagle Bay where we stopped for morning tea and got to view the shell church. This was amazing and the shell craftsmanship inside the church is brilliant and a must see. We then headed to cygnet pearl bay farm where we learnt about the pearl industry and harvested a pearl. This is a much more hands on working experience and was very enjoyable. We then enjoyed a lovely barramundi rice and salad lunch. We arrived at one arm point to see the trochus shell hatchery and various fish and shell fish in the tanks before heading to Lombadina. We loved this community and Debbie was very informative and took us on a tour of her community before we had afternoon tea and headed back to Broome. This was a long day, but well worth the tour on the bus, rather than driving yourself. We saw lots of wildlife, horses, bulls, wallabies, donkeys and a wedge tailed eagle on the way back. A great cultural experience.

Operator response

Pearler of a day

A very interesting day with engaging guide Lillian and driver Claudio. The gorgeous shell church at Beagle Bay is even more beautiful in person. I really enjoyed the demonstration by Terry Hunter at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and learning more about pearling at a real working farm. The lunch was delicious too. Jasirah's talk at the trochus hatchery was fascinating. And it was a real privilege to listen to Debbie talk about life at Lombadina. Although it was a tight schedule, I didn't feel rushed. Even though it was a long day, I still loved it all!

Operator response

Variety of interesting and engaging visitor experiences on this well-organized tour

This was an excellent tour. There is a variety of places which are visited and a standout is the Cygnet Bay Pearl farm which is a working farm and not merely a sale room with limited production premises attached. Our CBPF guide was Sarah who was both engaging and highly informed about all aspects of Pearl production. Our guides from Pinnacle Tours were Lilian whose commentary and accessibility was so valuable, and Claudio who drove us all day always showing care and great skill on variable road surfaces. I do not enjoy and fear road travel but Claudio's driving made me comfortable.

Operator response

Was a great experience. Tour guides were lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed the pearl farm and learning about Broome's history was interesting. Although was a long drive in, on a straight road

Must do

Only My husband and I on the tour. Evan, Lil and her husband Fab the driver were super accommodating right through out the tour. Great morning tea, amazing lunch at Cygnet pearl farm and the pearl farm tour was informative. At couple of little things went wrong but Lil was straight on the phone to sort it out and this it didn't impact our experience.

Operator response

See the back country

Long day but not rushed. Our driver was excellent and the bus was comfortable for all day with many stops. The aboriginal communities were interesting as was the pearl farm. This was quite different to Willie Creek and I recommend seeing both to get the ful story

Operator response

Hi there, Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed exploring the back country and appreciated the insights into the Aboriginal communities and the pearl farm. It's wonderful to hear you found the day well-paced and comfortable, and we agree—visiting multiple pearl farms like this one and Willie Creek offers a more complete understanding of the fascinating pearling industry. We hope to welcome you on another journey soon! Thanks, from the team at Australian Pinnacle Tours

Save your money and go on Broome tours sunset cruise

This was a disappointment from start to finish - 8 hours in a bus 2 churches and the Pearl farm where we only went down to the beach because we left the tour group. We felt so sorry for the international visitors - NOT a beach in sight not any intention of taking us to one on a 45 seater bus that was supposed to be a 4WD - they gave us excuses but still took our money destroyed the experience
