Itinerary
Your private guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby at 8:30 AM, or at a time of your choosing. Travel in comfort by private vehicle to the Terracotta Warriors, avoiding crowded public transport. Upon arrival, enjoy approximately 2.5 hours to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will lead you through the three main excavation pits (Pit 1, Pit 2, and Pit 3), which contain nearly 8,000 life-sized terracotta figures and horses. Each statue is uniquely crafted with remarkably vivid expressions, offering a breathtaking glimpse into ancient history. After the museum visit, your driver will take you back to Xi'an. You then have the option to extend your day with 1-2 additional city attractions. Popular choices include the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the ancient City Wall, or a local cultural show (admission fees are not included and payable on-site). At the end of your personalized journey, your guide and driver will send you to your hotel.
This is the first attraction option for you. The Xi'an City Wall is the largest and most completely preserved ancient city wall in existence in China. The Xi'an City Wall is a striking landmark of the ancient city. Just like people, cities must have their own distinct personalities. As an ancient historical and cultural city, Xi'an's distinct urban personality is reflected in its urban architecture. You can follow your guide to climb onto the city wall. While listening to the guide's historical explanations, you can overlook Xi'an from the city wall. Renting a bicycle on the city wall and experiencing a cycling journey is also a good choice.
This is the second attraction option for you. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the symbols preserved in Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty to this day. The existing stone inscriptions further confirm the history of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the spread of Buddhism on the Silk Road. The palm-leaf scriptures collected in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are also extremely precious Buddhist cultural relics. Within the structure, a spiral staircase leads up to an overlook with a panoramic view of the city.
This is the third attraction option for you. Tang Dynasty was the most powerful era in Chinese history. The Tang Dynasty Xi'an is China's Premier Cultural Entertainment Theatre Restaurant. The earliest Tang Dynasty Music & Dancing Show was shown here in 1988.It was the only cultural show complimented by a Live Classical Chinese Orchestra. The Tang Dynasty Xi'an has now become a must-visit place for the world leaders, and visitors to Xi'an from both home and abroad.
This is the fourth attraction option for you. The Muslim Quarter is a famous food culture block in Xi'an. The Muslim Quarter has a long history of over a thousand years. It is not only an important tourist attraction but also the block with the most concentrated Xi'an specialty snacks. Food shops are numerous in here and there are nearly 300 kinds of special flavor snacks that are dazzling. It is a place where tourists and local residents linger and forget to return.
This is the fifth attraction option for you. The Xi’an Great Mosque is an ancient architectural complex with a long history and large scale. According to the existing stone inscriptions in the mosque, the Xi’an Great Mosque has a history of more than 1,200 years. After several renovations and expansions in successive dynasties, it has gradually formed a large-scale architectural complex with compact and harmonious layout of towers.

Great tour that really deepened our understanding of ancient China, the Tang Dynasty and the context for the Terracotta Army and the Qin Emperor. Our guide Angie spoke great English having been a guide for 15 years and happily answered all our questions including about current life in China and Xi’an. She organised all the tickets for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Terracotta Army and a crafting activity to make our own clay warrior which was a welcome change from all the sightseeing. She also introduced us to a good restaurant for lunch and a live show called the Sound of Camel Bells which we all enjoyed. We usually travel independently but would highly recommend take this tour! All kudos to Mr Wen the driver for navigating the crazy traffic with ease. Thanks to both for a great day!
Thank you sincerely for this wonderful review—your kind words have brightened our day! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that the tour deepened your understanding of ancient China, the Tang Dynasty, and the stories behind the Terracotta Army and Emperor Qin. That’s exactly what we hope to achieve: making history feel alive and meaningful. Thank you again for sharing your experience—we hope to welcome you back to explore more of China’s wonders someday. Kind regards.
Had a great day with Angie who took us to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Terracotta Army and the Sound of the Camel Bells live show. Her English is great having been a tour guide for 15years. She organised a craft activity to make our own terracotta warrior which we all enjoyed as a welcome break from all the sightseeing and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. We don't do many tours, preferring to travel independently but it really added to our experience to have Angie explain the history of Xian and details of what we were seeing at the Terracotta Army. She organised all the tickets for us, very kindly took photos for us throughout the day and answered our many questions about life in China. She kept our two teens engaged throughout too! Our driver, Mr Wen, was very professional and safe and ensured we had cold water whenever we returned to the car. Highly recommend this tour and this company - very reliable and trustworthy!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this incredible review—your detailed words mean more than we can say! Angie truly is a gem—15 years of guiding have given her such a passion for sharing Xi’an’s history. Thank you for choosing us—we’d be honored to welcome you back anytime, whether it’s to explore more of Xi’an or beyond. And thanks again for sharing your experience! Best wishes to you!
Emily was an outstanding tour guide. She explained everything about the history to us and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see in the correct order too. She's easy to communicate with and was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely do more tours with her when I come back to Xian.
Thank you for your glowing review of Emily! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear she made your tour so memorable—her passion for sharing history and ensuring every detail is seamless truly shines through. Creating connections with guides who bring history to life is what makes tours special, and we’re delighted she left such a lasting impression. Until your next adventure in Xi’an, happy travels—and we can’t wait to welcome you back. Best wishes to you!
Corsen organised our day trip to the Terracotta Warriors, wall in Xcian and the Muslim quarter. We were provided Emily as our guide. She was very professional, and excellent communication throughout the whole trip. We would highly recommend Corsen and his team. Thank you
