It is a great do what you want tour! Customizable by the tourist with great recommendations of things to do by the tour guide!
George my tour guide was fantastic, he was friendly, knowledgeable and very knowledgeable on all sites visited. I will highly recommend him to everyone who take this tour
Roatán Tucan Adventures sent Jorge (George) Lopes to pick us up as soon as we exited the port. George led us to his air-conditioned vehicle and immediately offered to stop for drinks and snacks. He also provided us with fresh mango from his own tree! We then were able to choose to add any stop that we wanted to make to the tour. Monkeys and Sloths!!! George brought us to a local restaurant with a great view and we had a wonderful, relaxed lunch with him, and a local shop for souvenirs. We all felt very comfortable with George and would look him up again if we ever go back to Honduras.
We were a group of 4 people (3 adults, 1 teenager). Our guide was Georgie and we were VERY happy with our tour. George was early for pickup, very polite, knows a lot about the island, and has a good personality. George helped us customize the tour so we could do some good shopping, taking beautiful pics (George is a good photographer), and seeing the town. The chocolate tasting is good with a lot of options for buying. The rum tour is DELICIOUS (you try different runs and different rum cakes). We felt safe and welcome. I recommend this tour and this tour guide if you want a friendly introduction into the beauty of Roatan.
My brother and I were staying at a very secluded resort that you can only get to by boat so we booked this tour to ensure we still got to experience the island. Our guide name was Diana and she was absolutely fabulous; so happy and energetic and ready to show us whatever we wanted to see. She planned a great day where we got to see all the main tourist parts of the island (chocolate factory, two local rum places, the West end) as well as a beautiful patio restaurant for lunch that was off the side of the road over the mountains with the sea down below. She also took us through local neighborhoods so we could get a better experience of how the locals live. If you book this tour you should definitely request Diana, you will not be disappointed!!!
My tour guide Cynthia was truly exceptional; she was highly attentive, noticing even the smallest details, and consistently maintained a professional demeanor throughout the entire experience. Her attentive guidance included tailored explanations of local landmarks and cultural insights that enriched the tour, making it especially memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to others and strongly suggest requesting Cynthia by name for the best experience.
Johny was terrific. We wanted a customizable tour and did not have as much time as we originally scheduled due to my scheduling conflict. He was able to create a custom tour for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend him.
Our family has been to Roatan before and we did a tour through the cruise line. However upon coming back to the island, we wanted a more personal, up close tour. After reading tons of good reviews, we decided to book with Roatan Toucan Adventures. Jeimi was our private driver for the day and she definitely understood the assignment! We was so accommodating, very knowledgeable, and got us off the beaten path to take some amazing photos with incredible views! We loved our day with her and were so grateful that she planned such a personalized experience for us. There were 3 adults and a 15 year old. Thank you, Jeimi!!
This excursion was everything we wanted! Tyler is very knowledgeable and made sure we go to experience what we wanted including food and local spots away from tourist places. We had the best baleadas and empanadas ever! Played with monkeys, saw sloths, took in the beauty of Roatan, ate fresh mango and sour limes, and left feeling like Tyler was part of our family. I highly recommend this experience, and ask for Tyler if you can!
Driver was fantastic. We added to see the monkey sanctuary and zip line. Absolutely amazing experience. This should be included in the package along with the rum tour which was not my interest. The chocolate tour was basically to purchase chocolate from the local store. I would add a good meal on the beach somewhere to enhance the experience.
