This is a tailor-made private tour only for you (your group) in Guangzhou, highly flexible and the itinerary could be customized based on your interest or special request. You will have a full experience of Guangzhou from a local's perspective, with the company of a knowledgeable local guide and a private air-con vehicle with driver to show you around the city and have traditional Cantonese dim sum for lunch. The popular sites in Guangzhou are Baiyun Mountain, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial, Six Banyan Temple, Lychee Bay scereny, Shamian Island, Flower City Square, Canton Tower, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, Yuntai Garden, Chen Clan Academy, Yuexiu Park,Nanyue King's Mausoleum Museum and so on. You can choose 4-5 of the above sites to visit for this standard 7 hours full day tour with hotel pick up and drop off in downtown Guangzhou. Pay a visit to the "Lung of The City"-Baiyun Mountain, take scenic electric car going up the mountain, walk around the peak square, take beautiful photos of the green forest with mountain atmosphere, see local people exercise and playing shuttlecock, visit a bird park and view the downtown city from the observation platform. Take cable car coming down to view the area from the air.
See the magnificent building with oriental-occidental mixed architecture and unique interesting trees in the beautiful garden, learn about the China history of democratic revolution in early 20th century
1500 years old temple with a tall pagoda and many big Buddha statues for worshipping, learn about Buddhism religion spread to China from India
Lunch at a local "Tea House" restaurant to try the delicious traditional Cantonese dim sum, the famous local specialty in Guangzhou with local people, not touristy place. Learn about local table manner and tea etiquette and culture. The recommended signature dish is "Red Rice Roll with Shrimps", a great variety of different dim sum options are available and your guide could help you make proper selection for the food ordering based on your interest or special requirement(gluten free, Muslim halal or vegetarian). The cost for food of lunch is not included and it's on your extra expense based on how many and how much you order to eat.
Visit Xiguan Old House Community in the old town of Guangzhou to see "Wooden Sliding Door" and "Qilou" building, the traditional Cantonese private house architecture for noble families in early 20th century. Have a walk into the local neighbourhood and observe local people's life with Majong playing(table game), shuttlecock kicking activities. Visit Lychee Bay Park for beautiful lake and water channel structure with large Banyan trees scene and enjoy Cantonese opera show by local people singing, dressing up in traditional costume and playing with traditional Chinese musical instruments who entertain themselves for hobby and leisure everyday
See the skyscrapers and modern buildings and linger around the Flower City Square in the new downtown to view Canton Tower, Asian Games Park, Guangdong Provincial Museum, IFC and Guangzhou Opera House. Have a walk into the Guangzhou Library to see and learn about its stunning advanced technology like the "Book Shower" machine and book circulation system equipment.

Despite the very busy May Day holidays, Zack adjusted his guiding schedule to accommodate me on this fascinating day tour of Guangzhou where we witnessed both the old and new parts of Guangzhou. I had a deeper insight into the culture, food and sights of Guangzhou through Zack's expert guiding where he and the driver planned the routing to maximise the day fully. We had a delicious dim sum lunch where we tried 6 different food items, including an exquisite egg and milk tart plus panfried leek dumpling. My favourite two sights were the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and the Nanyue King Museum which enabled me to have a better appreciation of the long history of the lords and kings who ruled over this part of China. Heartfelt thanks to Zack for making my maiden and brief trip to Guangzhou such a meaningful and memorable one.
