Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta One Day is a small group tour that allows you to avoid the crowded touristy bus. Group size max of 12 passengers. We will pick-up at your hotel in districts 1, 3, and 4. - Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels' underground system. - Mekong River motorboat and rowing boat rides - Take a tour of a coconut candy factory and sip honey tea on a bee farm. - Listen to Vietnamese traditional folk music, visit the fruit garden, and taste tropical fruit.

We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

Long enjoyable day! Cuchi tunnels was very well explained and informative. Emily knew her stuff. Visit to Mekong was commercial. Village tour was good. Row boat thru coconut forest was also good. Emily managed all good, Making sure the group stayed together, moved along but not rushed.

What a fantastic experience! Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels was truly unforgettable. Crawling through them and imagining how people managed to dig and maintain tunnels stretching for many kilometers was simply mind-blowing. A special thanks to Emily, our guide, who was absolutely amazing. She kept us engaged throughout the journey with her knowledge, energy, and constant attention to every detail. The Mekong Delta was another highlight of the trip. From the boat rides and paddle boats to enjoying fresh tender coconut and local fruits, every moment was enjoyable. Even the electric car rides and the thoughtful preparations Emily made along the way added to the experience. I also want to mention our driver Dung, who remained calm and professional during a period of torrential rain. Despite the challenging conditions, he ensured we reached our destinations safely and comfortably. This was by far the Highlight for of our visit in Vietnam. Matthew our guide was absolutely fantastic with an amazing knowledge of vietnamese history in culture. He spoke excellent English and we thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor and informative conversation . The tour was great especially learning about how the tunnels were made and used and also the quiet river tour was a great contrast . Highly recommend this tour to anyone
Choosing the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta one day package was a long day, but so enjoyable! It’s ideal if you don’t have a huge amount of time in HCMC as you achieve a lot in one day. We were picked up from our accommodation just after 7am and travelled in an air conditioned coach with 10 other tourists. Along the way our lovely guide Max explained some of the history and timeline of the Vietnamese history before we stopped at Lamphat Company Handicapped Handicrafts. Talented people producing beautiful products! After a while we arrived at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Built by the Vietnamese 10yrs before the Vietnamese / American War even started, these tunnels consisted of 3 layers with connecting bunkers. The entry points were small and very well hidden! After the tunnels tour we had an amazing lunch and then we got back onto the coach to head to the Mekong Delta. A boat ride over to a coconut plantation island then a paddle boat through the waterways, where we had an up close & personal with a python and enjoyed fresh fruit and hot tea while sampling divine cacao chocolate and listening to a traditional music performance. A quick stroll around the corner and we were transported to the coconut store in a tuk tuk. We saw how the coconut was processed and turned into milk as well as the products created by locals from the coconut shell itself. Back into the boat heading to the mainland where we settled in for the 2hr ride back to our accommodation arriving about 7pm. Highly recommend this tour...it's a long time in a coach but worth it! Take bug spray, VND in a selection of smaller notes and comfortable footwear.
So this tour was one of the best tours I have done so far. You saw and experienced so many things. Definitely again.
