- Morning trip: pick-up from 7:30 - 8:00 AM/Finish around 14:30 - Noon trip: pick-up from 12:00-12:30 PM/ Finish around 19:00 Pick up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. • Arrive at Ben Duoc Tunnels. Watch a short documentary about the war. • Explore the tunnel system: • Crawl through the narrow underground tunnels. • See camouflaged trapdoors and deadly traps. • Visit the command center, weapon storage, and hospital bunker. • Try wartime cassava and tea, like the Vietnamese soldiers did. • Optional: Try shooting AK-47 or M16 at the shooting range (extra fee). • Depart for Ho Chi Minh City. • Drop off at your hotel. Optional with The War Remnants Museum. - You can select this option during the booking process, and it is available only for the morning shared group tour option. ♦ Around noon: Our group returns to the center of Saigon, followed by a visit to the War Remnants Museum. You will have approximately one hour to explore the destination FREELY by reading the information, viewing numerous photos, and watching videos that demonstrate aspects relevant to the Vietnam War. You can also pay extra for an Audio Guide to meet your needs. ♦ Finally, guests will be dropped off at the hotel, and our tour will conclude around 4:00 p.m.

Communication was excellent around pick up time. On the 2 hour drive the guide explained a little bit about the history of Vietnam and how the tunnels were used which was interesting. Explained about the shooting range - said had to be 18 years to shoot but a 16 year old wanted to do it and the guide said he looked 18 so should be fine. That they dont ask for ID. I know his parents were there and agreed but I felt it wasn't a great choice by the guide. In the end there was an issue with bullets so we wasted 20 minutes there. Got to the tunnels and was given 10 minutes to explore the machinery used in the war. Some tour guests spent a good 25 minutes here and the guide did nothing to rush them as far as I could see so I had to wait again. Got in to the tunnels which was interesting. Guide explained that we didn't have to go in to them and a little bit about how they were used and the different traps used. However when I tried to probe a bit deeper into the history of the war, there was little to no engagement. The guide looked surprised that I was even asking questions. Stopped for food on the way back which was to a shop where 50% of profits go to victims of Agent Orange. Didn't feel pressure to buy anything but it is not made clear in the itinerary that the stop is included. Another 20 minutes there.
