Itinerary
Overlooking the river Clyde, Dumbarton Castle was once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Strathclyde and was witness to many historical events during its more than 800 years of history: from Viking assaults, to the place where William Wallace was imprisoned before being handed over to the English, and also a place of shelter for Mary Queen of Scots. Weather depending, optional short stop for pictures.
Take a cruise in Loch Lomond, the largest Scottish Loch by surface area, and learn about it's incredible history while you enjoy the extraordinary views of the loch. If you prefer not to do the cruise, we will take you to the quaint town of Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond instead.
We will visit the quaint village of Drymen for a lunch stop, where there are several independent cafes on offer.
Considered by many the most beautiful and best restored castle in Scotland, Stirling Castle is one of the most important castles in Scottish history. From a fort during ancient Roman times, to an important stronghold during the Scottish Wars of Independence overlooking the site of the battle of Stirling Bridge, you have centuries of history to explore within its walls, as well as incredible views of the surrouding areas.
The tallest equine statues in the world, the Kelpies are a celebration of Scottish folklore, as well as of the mining tradition of the Falkirk area.

Shak was our tour guide and led us on a fantastic tour. He was very accommodating to our needs, especially as we had young children, and provided excellent recommendations throughout. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared many interesting insights. I would highly recommend him and his company!
Many thanks Saif for your wonderful review, Shak will be pleased you mentioning him by name.
The tour was very good, the guide was informative without being boring, we did a small tour of the city of Glasgow, because we prefer not to take a boat tour. Our visit to Stirling Castle was in our time, without rush. I recommend private tours, we are much more comfortable.
Foi um prazer ter-vos nesta excursão e o nosso guia Simon disse que passou um dia muito agradável convosco. Muito obrigado e até à próxima!
