Itinerary
Hohenzollernhaus is an iconic historical landmark located in the heart of Swakopmund, Namibia. This stunning building, which showcases a blend of German colonial architecture and local influences, is a must-visit for any history enthusiast or traveler seeking to understand the unique cultural heritage of the region. Originally constructed in the late 19th century, Hohenzollernhaus has witnessed the evolution of Swakopmund from a bustling harbor town to a vibrant tourist destination. Its intricate design and charming facades make it a popular spot for photography, allowing visitors to capture the essence of this coastal city.
The Swakopmund Jetty is a historic, 245-meter-long wooden structure extending into the Atlantic Ocean, offering stunning views of the sea and the city, and is a popular spot for fishermen, photographers, and those seeking a scenic walk
With its German-style façade and tower latticed in green and gold, historic Woermannhaus is a Swakopmund icon that's among the city's oldest buildings. Today, that national landmark holds a public library and art center
Here you will see hundreds of pink flamingos wading in the shallow waters, their vibrant colors standing out against the blue lagoon. The scenic mudflats also attract other bird species like pelicans and cormorants.
we pass Dune 7 close to Walvis Bay. Unfortunately we do not climb the dune we only have time to view it. We then head to the flamingos and the pink salt lakes

Terrific Tour with a fabulous tour guide named Warren. He was engaging, went to great lengths to ensure we were confortable and answered our relentless questions happily. Thoroughly enjoyed his tour and his company. He is an asset to his tour company.

A personal tour with another couple and the guide. Interesting journey to the town on excellent roads through dunes area. The town has some fascinating old buildings and also a surprising number of luxury shops. On the way back we visited the salt pans and saw flamingos in the distance and a couple of pelicans by the side of the road. The guide was very informative and personable.
Lovely to hear that the guide was informative and personable, thank you for the wonderful feedback 😊. Warm regards Uwe
Four in a car and a fabulous guide. Guide took us to out of the way places and showed us all aspects of his country.
Thank you for the 5-star review! Warm regards Uwe
Riaan our tour guide was amazing- friendly, insightful and generous with his humour and attention. He made the tour our highlight of visiting Namibia. Swakopmund is an interesting place, with German architecture and culture overlaid with modern Namibian life. The dunes, flamingoes and beautiful water setting were also great to see. There are few places like it in the world and it is well worth a visit. Can highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for the warm Feedback! glad you got to experience Swakopmund with its German agriculture and culture all at once 😊. We look forward to welcoming you to Namibia soon. Safe travels! Warm regards Uwe
Exceptional tour Ludwig was a great guide. His English was quite good explained a lot of things as we drove, was able to make personalized stops. Return to the ship at the time specified if we’re here on another cruise, we would gladly take the same tour.
Thank you so much for the warm and wonderful feedback! glad you had an exceptional tour 🤗 with a great guide. Time management is very important for Desert, Dunes and Dust Tours. We got a lot to offer and hope to welcome you back soon 😊! Thanks Uwe
This was a very good experience if you want to learn about Namibia and get a brief overview of what is around Walvis Bay. The pick up at the cruise terminal was a little muddled as the guide we had been told to look out for wasn't the one we went with. We started off with another guide, changed and were then told we were doing a different tour. However, on a further check, this was rectified and we were really happy with the tour. Vincent is a wonderful young man who is passionate about his hometown and is a great ambassador for Namibia. We had a fabulous few hours and were very fortunate with our travelling companions. Thank you Vincent, and thank you too to Martina & John.
Grateful for your feedback, so glad our team left a lasting impression and that you enjoyed your experience throughout - see you again soon 🤗. Thanks Uwe
