Was pretty easy to find my boat in the morning, everything is organized. Sea condition was a little bit tough on the way to the park due to a storm. They told us before that is a wet landing so was ready for it with water shoes and shorts. Once in the park our guide was great, lovely way to explain about animals, trees, community in the area, stories. We never rushed, took the time to see the animals, to wait for them. We saw tons of things, took great pictures with guide’s help. Food is solid at rangers place.
I stay in June during the green season for a overnight tour at the Sirena Ranger Station. We had a few walks around the park. José was my guide during this tour. We saw a lot of wildlife and the experience itself is definitely worth going there. From Puerto Jiménez we startet with a boat. It took around almost 2 hours. On our way we saw already Dolphins, a turtle, and some birds. The overnight stay was a full day and the second is finished around 2-3 pm. Next time in Costa Rica I would definitely go again with José or Ely. They do have a great knowledge about the wildlife and the nature. They include your needs (for example gluten-free) and tell you exactly all the rules and what are you allowed to bring to the national park. I had everything I needed. Felt comfortable.
We booked the day tour, and we enjoyed it very much. We saw many animals, and we had a private tour - just the two of us and the guide. The handling was professional. Currently, the temperatures are very high, so we recommend boat in & boat out. The sea was calm for us, but otherwise, the ride can be very rough - it is better to take medication if you are prone to it.
We did the 3 days/2 nights boat-in/hike-out tour and it was super cool! The guide had a lot of experience and could tell us a great deal about nature. The organization ran smoothly. We were very satisfied. Many thanks to the team!
