Day trip

The tour highlight was the trip to the Village. They were so welcoming and the performance they gave us was great. I would drop the fruit and vegetables markets from the tour. We were there for less than 10 minutes and our guide explained nothing. There needs to be notice that you have to walk to the sand dunes and it is a minimum 2 hour round trip for the fit. There is a shorter path but still takes 40 minutes with some hills involved

Day trip

Great day. Bobby and Shaggi were both very nice. The village was excellent. I would suggest the fruit and vegetables markets was a waste of time. Sand dunes were nice. Tour company should let potential tourists know of the walk involved and allow time for anyone that wants to do the full walk

Operator response

Bula We’re glad you enjoyed meeting Bobby and Shaggi and that you found the village and sand dunes enjoyable. We’re sorry the fruit and vegetable markets didn’t meet your expectations and for any confusion during your experience. It’s entirely your choice which hiking walk you’d like to do. Our driver/guide will wait for you to complete your chosen hike, so you’re free to start and finish at your own pace. We apologise that this wasn’t clearly communicated by our reservation team. There are two hiking trails available: a 1-hour option and a 2-hour option. We highly recommend the 2-hour hike for better scenery, but we’ll respect whatever you decide. Thank you for your feedback about the market—your input is valuable and I’ll pass it along to our team so we can consider improvements in the future. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services. Vinaka Sujita

Awsome tour.

Bobby the guide and the driver was excellent with us. Bobby explained everything about the culture of fiji. I particularly like the school and the pottery village. I'll take another tour with those guys if I could. Thank you for the day.

Perfect for a Fiji layover

A great introduction to Fiji, a tour combining interesting cultural experiences and stunning nature. My guide/driver was a very good source of information about the country, he was able to answer every question on history, society and politics of Fiji. I had a great layover!

A great cultural experience

Visiting the Food bowl, the pottery village where we danced with the ladies after the welcome ceremony. Views from the lookout at the national park. Our local driver Morrie customised our tour and showed us the sand dunes where they trained for the rugby and views from various locations that he knew would give great pictures of the river and town.

Operator response

Thank you for the wonderful five-star reviews!

Don’t miss this

We ended up on a private tour for this as I don’t think many people know about the Sigatoka sand dunes! The boat tours are really popular, but you should definitely try to do this tour as well. An hour drive from Nadi, our guide Deo took us to a village where the women make pottery by hand, which we got to watch them do. We participated in a kava ceremony with them and then had a chance to buy some of their pottery- a real treat! The highlight was the sand dunes. If they ask if you’d like to do the short walk to the dunes or the long walk, choose the long walk and you won’t regret it- be ready to climb up some pretty steep sand! And unforgettable experience. The photos don’t do it justice!

Different experiences vs water activities

Our tour guide Anand explained to us about Fiji culture including education system and economy, we were the only people on the tour and he let us explore the places on our pace. Pottery village was a wonderful experience. Kava ceremony and dance. We even got to dance with them! Fascinating way to make a pottery. Walk in the sand dune was peaceful.
