Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro

Description
Are you a HISTORY BUFF? This tour is probably NOT for you. Our Politically Incorrect guides blend humour with history, creating a tour for those who are tired of traditional sightseeing and excited by the idea of being pleasantly offended. Our guide will try to make you laugh (even when you -probably- shouldn't) as we uncover the stories hidden in Copenhagen’s historic streets. In this 2 hour tour, you will walk the same cobblestoned streets as H.C. Andersen, hear stories about historic Denmark and quirky anecdotes about Copenhagen today. There’ll be a little bit of lore and a little bit of gore, and tales of princes and perversions, gratification and tax equations. Learn everything you need to know – and just as importantly, what to avoid! A thousand years of history in 2 hours. Save your phone battery, our guides have built-in GPS.

Itinerary
Look for the orange umbrella! We meet outside of the metro, between the stairs and the statue! Please arrive a few minutes before the tour starts to check-in, otherwise we cannot guarantee you the tour. Discover the rich origins of Copenhagen– and the key historical figures involved.
The most important governmental building in the city!
See where the longest pedestrian-only shopping street in the world is.* *Not personally verified, but definitely in all of Denmark!
From this location, we will have a good view of some of the most beautiful buildings in the city. We will talk about the statue at its centre, and some of the buildings.
See this French-inspired building. This is one of the biggest department stores in Denmark.
It's a church! But what kind of church? In this stop you will learn about the great Copenhagen fires.
This is arguably one of the most impressive buildings in the square. Find out who the statues up front are!
This harbour is the birthplace of many histories and stories! It's more than a post card, but the buildings are definitely only worth looking at but not necessarily heading into them.
Home to the embassies, even of one of our most dreadful foes.* This stop is about WWII and Denmark. We won't spoil it for you in advance! *Historically.
This is the square where the Royal residences are. There are changing of the guards every 2 hours, but if your tour starts at 11, we arrive just in time for the big one of the day at noon!
Where do the rich and famous stay when they're in the city? Here's your answer!
The marble church! Probably the most beautiful one in all of Denmark. This is where we end the tour, although there may be some variation between each guide. All ending points are a 5 minute walk away from here.
