Cooking class with family and in the garden of an old boathouse

Description
You will be welcomed in the cozy garden of an ancient boathouse, typical Salento structure with 4 star vaults, recently renovated, used in the past as a stable and warehouse and used today to make you live a fantastic culinary experience respecting local traditions. After the visit of the structure, you can taste an aperitif of typical local products accompanied by the excellent wines of Salento. Next thing you know, everyone's at work... We will prepare with you the pasta that we will season with two different sauces based on "fresh tomato & basil" and "Ciceri & Tria" chickpeas flavored with a mix of vegetables and fried pasta. During the evening you can listen to the traditional music "La Pizzica" and use, if you want, the fine violin guitars and tambourines made available to accompany some stornello. An excellent homemade ice cream and a fresh limoncello of the house, will close the evening

We absolutely loved our cooking experience with our hosts. A unique experience for all of us age 18-50. The family have great knowledge and the food we ate was the best we have had so far on our trip. We highly recommend booking this event. Thank you for a great evening
From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and it was like being invited to a family gathering. Time to meet the hosts and other participants over a drink and some authentic Lecce nibbles. Then it was on to the pasta making, led by Nonna Theresa. Followed by a sit down dinner of our handmade pasta, with our new friends and hosts . It was an intimate group with everyone getting hands on experience making pasta and eating together. Fabulous experience would highly recommend.
This was a very informative experience and gave us a glimpse into Italian living. The hosts were truly friendly and their location is beautiful. We left very full from the great food and wine, and grateful for the evening.
This was a most delightful experience. Making pasta with three generations of this family was quite enchanting. The hosts were engaging, fun and so easy to work with. Learning the history of this beautiful home and bed-and-breakfast, having been the former stable of the home of the great grandmother, was a real treat. Hosts Alessandro, his wife Alessandra and daughter Mariannna were so generous. Making the Orichette and the thin tube shaped macaroni that were served mixed with a light tomato/pesto sauce was so delicious. And the very easy square tria pasta we made for Ciceri e Tria:, the Pulian speciality with a chickpea sauce, was such a unique treat. And Alessandra’s homemade berry tart was perfect!
We were 4 friends traveling together in Italy. We spent the day in Lecce and ended it with this cooking class. It was hosted in a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. It was run by a couple and their mom. They were do warm and welcoming. We made pasta which was a fun challenge. The meal was wonderful as we all ate together. Homemade apple cake and limoncello finished the meal. A very special event. Thank you
This was easily one of our favourite experiences during our holiday. We stopped at B&B L’Antica Rimessa on our way home from a wedding and were welcomed so warmly. As we were given a tour of the property, we stepped out onto the terrace to find the family making pasta together in the sunshine. We mentioned that we’d always wanted to learn how to make pasta. To our surprise, once we’d checked in and came down for lunch, they had set up a little pasta-making session just for us. Alessandra kindly took photos and videos so we could keep the memories, while Alessandro brought us wine and snacks as a thoughtful surprise Afterwards, we were invited to join their family for lunch. They prepared a delicious fish dish using the fresh pasta we had just made, and of course, there was plenty of wine, limoncello, and dessert to follow. It was the most beautiful and authentically Italian experience we could have wished for. The family were so welcoming, spoke fantastic English, and made us feel completely at home. ⭐ 10/10 — worth every Penny and we couldn't recommend it more highly A big grazie mille from Fay, Grace and Rich :)
Alessandra, Alessandro, Anna and Mariana were exceptional hosts. They welcomed us with a delicious platter of typical products and then we prepared together the dough and different types of pasta, to finally sit down at the table and enjoy everything with their family. The cooking class was beautiful, the food delicious and they made us feel at home. I highly recommend it: it was for us an unforgettable and wonderful experience.
It's more than just a cooking lesson; it's a real family experience, because we shared a wonderful aperitif and dinner surrounded by a delicious traditional Apulian family. Ana's cooking class was so much fun... she was so patient with us, while we struggled to make orecchiette, haha! Everyone was so friendly and kind! We had a great time! I highly recommend it!
