Constanta and the Black Sea Private Tour from Bucharest

Description
Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanta lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanta traces its history some 2,500 years. Fine mansions and hotels were built in the 19th century when King Carol I decided to revive Constanta as a port and seaside resort. The third largest city in Romania, Constanta is now an important cultural and economic centre, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town centre. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism.

The tour operator never showed up. We didn’t get to go on the tour. He said he sent us emails about it a week earlier and he did not. We were up early and left waiting. It was a very negative experience and when we get home, I will be contacting you about a full refund. Via Tours has gone downhill from the many tours we have taken in the past.
Hello. We have send you several messages to confirm your tour and the hour pick up, but we had no response. We feel sorry that you didn’t check your inbox. We are wanting for you next time in Romania to travel with us.
May is too early to visit as the weather is not good enough and most of the restaurants, activities are closed. A d it's a long drive from Bucarest .
Christian was a wonderful guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and it's history. He gave us ample time to explore on our own and recommended a great restaurant for lunch.
Cristian was an Excellent driver and guide. He was full of information and gave us time and space to do our own thing. Castanta definitely worth a visit and the orthodox church was very Spiritual and beautiful.
Christian was a wonderful driver. Very knowledgeable about his country's history and considerate regarding what his passengers wanted and expected.
After a discussion with our guide Beatrice we had already done Constanta and the Black Sea on the cruise ship we had just left and being extremely creative Beatrice decided we should see some of the mountains. She took us to Snow Island and to Peles Castle (?) which we absolutely loved. We had a delicious meal in a local restaurant which she highly recommended and saw the monastery’s which we found very interesting. We found that Beatrice’s knowledge of the area and Bucharest was extensive, she was delightful company and we had a thoroughly enjoyable day in her company. I could not recommend her more highly.
viator sold us a danube delta tour but sent the wrong voucher and we ended up on the constanta tour......viator will not refund the trip or give me a discount on another tour.... this tour was a bore..... constanta is only good if you want to go to the beach.... the rest is as uninteresting as counting sheep.....
Hello. We don’t understand why you put this review here. You didn’t travel with us. Plase remove this!
100% satisfied! Good, knowledgeable guide who showed all the nice little streets, sights but also where things were for example cheapest. Great flexibility in the schedule. Highly recommended!
Since I was a child I have dreamed of seeing the Black Sea! Finally, I was able to dip my toes in the water and no the sea is not black. LOL There were so many beautiful sights to see all around Constanta. Many great spots to grab lunch, too. Photo opportunities everywhere. So refreshing to feel the breeze on your skin as you stroll along the boardwalk and learn all about the important role this city played in times past.
Our guide, Claudiu, was prompt, friendly and considerate. His car was comfortable and very clean. Although it was a long drive from Bucharest to Constanta, we enjoyed the ride and conversation, learning a lot about Romania.. Claudiu allowed us to determine which sites we wanted to see and suggested a great cafe for lunch. I would definitely recommend touring with Yolo Tours.
