We will stop at the Metro station to go on the Cable car, jump on board and enjoy the view while you move slowly over the neighborhood, and see one-of-a-kind panoramic views of the city.
Experience the most magnificent street art that Medellín has to offer at the Comuna 13 barrio on the far-west side of town. Check out the colorful graffiti, landmark outdoor escalators and try different snacks from local vendors (at your own expense). Have fun and feel safe with your guide, as they know the residents, artists, and neighborhood well.

Very cool to learn about the transformation of Medellin following the Escobar Era. It was amazing to see the effects of arts and culture have such an impact in keep a community in harmony. I really appreciated how passionate my guide was to teach me about his experiences growing up here.

Out guide John was amazing, he taught us so much about the history of Comuna 13 and what it was like growing up in the city. He was so passionate about this city and made this experience unforgettable for us. He was very accommodating to my grandmother who couldn't walk very well. He was kind and so knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this tour enough, the story of Communal 13 is tragic yet shows the resilience of this city and it's people. John showed us this, and was so great we booked a second tour with him. Cannot recommend this tour and guide more! John and this tour was one fight highlights if our trip to Medellin.

Everything about this tour was amazing. Lina did a fantastic job ensuring we knew exactly what was going on and even rearranged our tour when our flights were delayed. Amazing! Carlos was the best tour guide we’ve ever had traveling the world and very much felt like part of the family showing us his beautiful home city. This is not an exploitative tour cashing in on terrible events, but rather a wonderful experience seeing how a community turned tragedy into beauty. It’s also not just an outdoor museum experience, the entire community is alive and a ton of fun. The hills are steep, but well worth it!

Our first visit to Medellin was made very special y Medellin tours. Lina, the owner, planned a perfect three-day itinerary (including airport transfers) for us to cover some of the main highlights of Medellin. Our driver (Jaime) and tour guides (George, Lina and Veronica) were very prompt, courteous and spoke very good English. Private tours are fully customized to the needs of the client and allow generous flexibility. Medellin travels is highly professional, friendly and works with a professional staff. This was my fourth tour with this company and each time it is a better experience. Lina is a master at her job pre-planning for the local events that causes traffic situations. Since the guides are hired from the community thier knowledge of the areas is unmatched. You will learn things not in a book.

I want to start by thanking Lina who helped me by answering all of my queries and concerns with such genuine care. She really took her time and sent me a payment link for the airport shuttle pick up and drop off, as well as the tours I took. This way I did not have to deal with paying for each individual item with my card. I will say that I felt extremely safe at all times, my tour guide Alex was just fabulous, knew his way around, and assisted me with patience. We did the Comuna 13 cable cars or Comune 13. Cable cars were smooth and my guide pointed out several landmarks. The graffiti barrio was live and bright and Alex made it shine even more with his knowledge and passion. I was in Medellin for a weekend, so Medellin Travels arranged for me to do their Pablo Escobar Godfather tour as an upgrade to the Comuna tour, which worked out wonderfully as my time was limited. What a fantastic tour I had with Alex from Medellin Travels! The driver Stiven was early, and big Al (as I called Alex) was animated with a big smile, a larger than life character that exudes happiness in what he does and assures that his guests are having a good time and are comfortable as well. The Comuna 13 with Cable cars was the one we did. The whole area is full of beautiful art and murals. We are glad that we booked with Medellin Travels due to the fact that you can get lost in that barrio with tiny streets that lead to dead ends. Also the knowledge and the security that our guide gave our group was unparralel. We felt safe with Alex and everyone respects him there. I believe we learned way more on our private tour compared to those who took the cheap tour at the bottom stairs with those annoying guides who were pulling people to go with them. That poor group was not too happy and they tried listening in on our tour all the time, lol. We got the perks to meet some of the artists, since Medellin Travels has a foundation that helps out artists there, and even bought a painting from Jon chota.
