You will encounter the landscapes and places just as seen in the series. It is being inside the filming essence.
It is one of the most interesting!! Very curious details about the different settings of the series. We visited all the locations where they filmed.
A great way to see the Montalbano sights of course, but also see some of Sicily. Our guide (Carmelo) was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Thank you, Alessio, our most knowledgeable driver and guide, for a wonderful Montalbano experience.
If you're a Montalbano fan, this is the trip for you. Peter took us to all the sites of the filming, it was great to be there. Our guide was really helpful with local knowledge too and had lots of patience for photos and walkabouts too. Really good experience.
Absolutely wonderful tour with a fantastically friendly and helpful guide - Peter. He went over and above what we hoped for. Over 9 hours seeing lots of Montalbano sites, even taking a slight detour to see a filming location that wasn’t on the schedule - Fornace Penna, Scicli. It should be on the tour. Magnificent site. Careful driver who spoke excellent English. Comfortable black Mercedes mini-carrier with smoked windows which felt like we were VIPs. Stop offs were just the right times and durations. The people we met in the offices/palaces/cafes were so friendly and welcoming. There were severe winds at Punta Secca following a cyclone (that’s March for you) but that and the Scicli police offices were brilliant. The other stops showed off magnificent views of hillside towns. Plenty of opportunities for scenic photographs.
We really enjoyed our tour and Carmelo and Peter were very good tour guides. Thank you both!
Great tour with very well balanced activities between Montalbano and barocco. A lot to see! Carmelo was great!
Our driver/guide for this day tour was Carmelo who was exceptional in all ways - driving carefully, patient, prepared about both Sicily's history and the filming (& curiosities) of Commissario Montalbano. We visited Scicli (police headquarters and the Duomo), Punta Secca (Montalbano's house, lighthouse and restaurant (sea was rough but seen its location from a safe place), Ragusa (Duomo, film locations, Iblea Garden and the and it's magnificent views). We had a quick lunch at Ai Lumi Trattoria Tipiċi (was excellent and accommodating). Finally, Modica where e stopped for the opening scene view of the city dominated by the Duomo. We then visited the Duomo itself dedicated to St George and also the church of St Peter. It was a certainly unforgettable experience which we will always remember. We will plan future day trips with this tour company. Thank you Carmelo and Sicily Grand Tour.
Fantastic experience, see the places narrated by the great Maestro Camilleri, seen in the series "Il commissario Montalbano" was a pleasant and fun adventure. Scicli, Ragusa, Modica, Punta Secca, really deserve to be visited. A big applause to our driver Carmelo, who accompanied us in these beautiful places with professionalism and availability. Thank you. Highly recommended. Good.
