The excursion begins with a visit to a beautiful sanctuary in a botanical garden. Here you will enjoy a close and personal encounter with friendly squirrel monkeys. You will have the opportunity to climb on your shoulders and eat out of your hands, creating unforgettable memories and photographs in a safe and respectful environment.
After the monkey adventure, the excursion explores the historic heart of Puerto Plata. The guided tour includes visits to the imposing San Felipe Fortress, the fascinating Amber Museum and vibrant Central Park with its Victorian architecture. There will also be time for photos on the famous "Umbrella Street" and a visit to a rum or cigar factory.

Pickup Locations & Times
CRUISE PASSENGERS: PORT AMBER COVE (VIP pick-up inside) : We are authorized to pick you up WITHIN the port facilities (no need to walk to the highway). IMPORTANT: To locate your driver, you MUST contact us by WhatsApp or phone as soon as you dock your boat. Since we operate as authorized units within the port, we initially do not have a large sign. Once you contact us, we will guide you to the exact meeting point inside the terminal, where your driver will be waiting for you. PUERTO TAÍNO BAY : Walk to the main exit door. Your driver will be waiting for you right in front of the front door with a sign with your name or "LEOMAR TOURS". HOTEL GUESTS: Please wait in the main lobby of your hotel 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

Was a fun experience with the monkeys feeding and climbing on us. The guide was very friendly. Also the VIP service was a nice and air conditioned vehicle. The driver was nice and told us alot about the area.
