There you visit for 1,5 hour the famed Lion Gate, the Royal Tombs, and the remarkable Treasury of Atreus. Immerse yourself in the tales of Agamemnon and the Mycenaean civilization as you explore the site, uncovering its rich history and legendary stories. Optionally enhance your visit by booking a private guide for an additional fee.
Continue the trip to Nemea, where according to mythology Hercules killed the lion, renowned for its vineyards and winemaking heritage. At a local winery, enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, followed by a wine tasting session featuring local wines, including the famed Agiorgitiko.

Tour guides were fabulous. A great way to explore the area. Especially since it was very warm out Wines were excellent and tour of Mycenae was very different. So glad we had the opportunity for this tour vs just wandering the town. Thank you !

This tour was really more of just transportation to two places (Mycenae site and a winery). So for that reason, it feels like it was over-priced. There were also problems with communication between Viator and our drivers. Our drivers were wonderful people with some knowledge to share on the drive. But since they couldn't accompany us into the site, it was self-guided by every means. There was also confusion over whether or not we had to pay for entrance at the Mycanae or whether it was included (misrepresentation on the Viator write up). We would have liked more time at the ruins, and I expressed that in my communications with Viator in advance. But instead we were rushed at the ruins and had plenty of time at the winery. Both experiences (Mycanae and the Winery) were great attractions, but this package was just far too expensive given the shorter driving distances.

The duration at the archaeological site was in line with the average visit time for most travelers. As for the entrance fees, all tickets were indeed included in the price of the tour. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication, which we identified and promptly refunded you to ensure fairness. The tour package you booked covers all entrance fees, and we regret any confusion that arose. We would also like to clarify that a licensed guide is not included in this tour, as clearly stated in the exclusions. The driver, while knowledgeable and happy to share insights, is not a licensed guide and therefore cannot accompany guests inside archaeological sites. That said, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the destinations themselves and the interactions with our drivers.
