Columbia River Gorge Waterfall Tour from Portland

Description
Half an hour east of Portland can be found the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Multnomah Falls, and some of the most magnificent views in the country; skyscraper cliffs, verdant rainforests, and majestic waterfalls. During the last ice age a cataclysmic event occurred that left a lasting monument along the path of the mighty Columbia River. A great flood sheared away the land, leaving stone cliffs and water falls that form the world famous “Columbia River Gorge”. View the majesty from the Vista House atop 800 foot sheer rock cliffs, see Multnomah Falls, the second tallest year round waterfall in the country, and witness the free-falling splendor of Latourell Falls. In the autumn, watch salmon spawning in Multnomah Creek. Join our small family-run tour company and enjoy waterfalls, rainforests, and volcanic rock formations all less than 30 minutes outside of Portland. A must-see trip while visiting Oregon.

Peter was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area, including history and plant life, and he shared information in an interactive way. He clearly loves his job. He tailored the trip to the group. Waterfalls and vistas were amazing.
I’d highly recommend this experiment if you want a half-day signature tour of the best waterfalls around Portland! Peter is also extremely knowledgeable about Portland history and all the small tips about wildlife. Love it!
Amazing tour. Enjoyed myself even as I was struggling through allergies - Peter provided us with so much information about local flora, fauna and history!
Peter delivered a great tour of the beautiful falls of the Gorge. He is knowledgeable about the falls and shares it with you. The bonus is his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area. We even got to see a trio of peregrine falcons battling in the air over a fish one had caught.
Don't miss this tour if you're visiting the area! The views are spectacular and pictures simply do not do it justice! Peter is a wonderful tour guide and his love of the area is apparent in his knowledge of the history and foliage.
Our tour guide, Peter was friendly and very informative! He provided the history of the area, info about the falls, and fun facts about the plants and foliage. He gave us ample time to experience each waterfall. He provided us with information at each stop. It was an easy and fun day!!!
Oregon Tour Co. is a wonderful father‑and‑son operation, and we had the pleasure of touring with Peter, the son. He was outstanding. His knowledge of Portland, its history, the surrounding region, and the many waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge made the entire experience both fascinating and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the tour, and the beautiful weather made it even better. If you’re visiting Portland and want to explore the area’s waterfalls, I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Oregon Tour Co. Thank you, Peter, for the exceptional experience. If you have the time, consider booking the full‑day tour. Our half‑day tour was excellent, but I’m confident that Peter and his father could share even more insight during a full‑day adventure. Thank you, Oregon Tour Co.—we wish you continued success.
Peter, our guide, is a great … friendly, highly knowledgeable, and humorous. Our best guide to date. The tour was also fantastic. It was a little wet but that did not stopped us from appreciating God’s handiwork. Will take this tour again if we came this way in the future.
Peter was an excellent guide. He shared his wealth of knowledge about the geography, plant life, geology, history of the area, and other interesting information while driving safely, walking with us, and observing nature. The tour exceeded my expectations!
This tour is an excellent way to see the waterfalls. Ride in a comfortable van with an experienced guide and skip the hassle of driving. Peter was very personable and knowledgeable. We not only learned about the falls, but also about the plants and history of the region. I highly recommend this tour.
