Columbia Icefield Tour with Glacier Skywalk from Jasper

All went well with friendly staff for all parts of the trip. We had a problem in that we were not told ahead of time that our pick up would be on a bus headed to Banff. Following the time on the glacier, we had to catch a different bus back to the Jasper are where we were staying. That bus left without us before our glacier bus returned. No fault of ours. We had to wait about 25 minutes for the bus to turn around and come back for us. Should not have happened. Would like to have known ahead of time the details.

This was booked as a transfer from Jasper to Banff through our travel agent. What an amazing day. Picked up by coach with Mathew the driver and Harry the guide. Throughout the day Mathew & Harry gave so much insight to the places we passed along the Icefield Parkway and even managed to grant me my wish when we saw a black bear just walking across the road. We stopped off on route to the Icefields, seeing the beautiful Peyto Lake, Athabasca falls and slowing down when wildlife was spotted. The Columbia icefield tour was awesome, walking on a glacier followed by lunch which was ok! It was part of the package and was buffet style, but felt as though the staff were not expecting visitors that day as they had run out of lots of choices of the food, we also had to ask for cutlery. We were then dropped at the Skywalk which was very interesting and some good views. The rest of the journey to Banff was relaxing, looking out for the wildlife. The coach was clean and comfortable with an onboard toilet, again very clean. At one of the stops Harry made everyone a hot drink and offered gorgeous cookies. We were dropped at our hotel in Banff 10 hours after being picked up, but honestly one of the best days of the holiday.

The glacier experience is alright. The food and skywalk can be skipped. We were more than 15 mins delayed on the tour as we were stuck at the gate due to power outage. We only got ~20mins for lunch. We were 6 mins late to get back to the bus post lunch and the driver Matthew scolded us as if we were some school kids. So not the 15 mins but the 6 mins caused the tour delay. If 6 mins causes so much delay then it is just bad planning. The tour had multiple stops and people would be back to the bus 3-4mins late which is fine. But I guess we had tad bit too much melanin for Matthew's liking. We wanted to tip our tour guide Macy but this guy made our experience sour. On our kid's first birthday trip.

This tour was incredible. Our driver, Brian and Host, Rosie were so knowledgeable and just fun. We learned so much , saw so much and had the best day ever!!!

Were on the Icefields Parkway tour from Jasper to Banff with stops at Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls, Columbia Icefields and glacier, lunch, Skywalk and Bow lake. The driver and guide were absolutely fantastic and I apologies I've forgotten their names but our trip was on 11th May 2026. It was a small group of around 11 people on the coach so we were able to have extra time at the stops. We were even lucky enough to see a grizzly bear and be able to pull over to watch it going about its business beside the road. The whole trip was fantastic, the scenery was stunning with a lot of photo opportunities.

We got this tour from Jasper to Banff, and loved every moment. Our driver qnd guide - Jon and Rosie, were fantastic. A lovely balance of chatty and informative, but also giving us our own time and space which was perfect. This tour was a lovely break from hiking, as we were dropped off to viewpoints and usually given 30 mins there. We also stopped for a complimentary buffet lunch, which was an excellent opportunity to get to know other people on the tour. The highlight of the trip was definitely the icefield explorer. It was mind boggling how we could be in downtown Jasper in the morning , sweating and putting on suncream, to being in the icefields a few hours later. The whole thing was mesmerising and both the icefield and aftermath of the Jasper wildfires made us reflect a lot on how our planet is changing. Highly recommend staying in both Jasper and and Banff, and using this as a method of getting between both. We were collected from, and dropped off to the doorstep of both our hotels. You are on a comfortable coach for most of the journey, and only get on the ice explorer at the icefield.

What an excellent way to transfer from Jasper to Banff without driving. We absolutely adored our driver Matt and guide Machala, who made the day truly memorable. Whilst it was a really long day (08:30 pick up and 18:30 drop off), it didnt feel that long, with plenty of stops for viewing or just toilets. The Afabasca Waterfall was beautiful and noisy, walking on the glacier such an experience, along with the ride down on the special buses. Lunch at the Icefield information centre was perfectly nice and we did the skywalk afterwards, which gives lovely views (not that I could see them :D). For me stopping at Water Fowl Lake (I think it was called) was fab as we heard an avalanch in the distance. On route we saw ravens, deer, elk, a white fox and fleatingly a black bear. Our coach was clean and comfortable and I cannot speak highly enough of Matthew and Machala who have left us with such fab memories.

Our driver Colin was an excellent tour guide, he gave us a huge amount of super interesting facts about every sight on the trip, he looked after our every need, had some quite funny dad jokes as well! Aaron was a superb host, checked we were ok at every stop and took great photos. Both were really lovely people and made the trip even more enjoyable than it already was. The sights we saw were absolutely incredible and completely exceeded our expectations. Best tour ever.

We had booked this tour as the way to get from Jasper to Banff and see something of the scenery along the way. We understood that we were limited with the luggage we could have and had packed accordingly. We were collected on time and our luggage was stowed and then our driver Alistair told us to hop aboard and pick a seat. We were the last pickup - it was a coach for 52 and there were 3 of us - 4 if we included Alistair. We had a wonderful personal tour, we had time to take more scenic routes as it was so much quicker to get three of us on board than 52. Alistair was great - we slowed and parked up to watch a black bear, he told us about the things we could see and places we would visit. He also allowed us to enjoy the scenery in silence. Even when we got to the Icefield we had one of the special vehicles for just the three of us. Alistair a real credit to the company

Carson and Aaron were awesome. Great blokes, plenty of good info about the area. Unfortunately didn't see much wildlife though.
