Colorado Springs Hands-On Falconry Class and Demonstration

Deanna is a legend. I loved learning about falconry from her and the team that drives you and helps take picture is so kind. Incredible experience!

This was an educational and really fun experience! My granddaughter and I not only learned so much about these birds but we got to see them up close and hold them while they fed. We loved it.

This was such a cool experience! From seeing all the animals and wildlife around to learning all the details about the different types of birds. Loved it! Highly recommend!!

It was an incredible experience learning about the raptor birds. Their guide, Scott, was very knowledgeable and had been helping with Falcons since he was 7 years old. You could feel the passion in his voice for these birds. Scott led us through three different locations with several different birds of prey including three subspecies of Falcons, Hawks, and two types of owls. The hike with the flying hawk was awesome!

It was a great experience for my son and I. We learned a lot about falconry in a relaxed atmosphere. Scott did a great job meaning everyone feel comfortable and demonstrating how to work the birds. We each got to have a bird perch on our arm at the end. But the bird was passed from the trainer to the participant. The bird did not fly and perch on your arm (just in case you were expecting it). It is worth the time and money. My teenage son and I enjoyed it.

Amazing experience especially if you are an animal lover

My son and I recently participated in the Falconry Experience at Broadmoor Outfitters, and it was easily one of the most unique, and memorable experiences we have ever shared together. Denise and Scott are absolutely outstanding. Their depth of knowledge about all birds, and specifically, falconry is remarkable—not only regarding the birds themselves, but also the rich history of falconry, training techniques, and the special relationships that exist between falconers and their birds. It was obvious from the moment they began speaking that this is a genuine passion of theirs. What impressed us most was their ability to make the experience both highly educational and incredibly fun. They presented a wealth of information in a way that was engaging, interactive, and easy to understand. The opportunity to interact with owls, falcons & hawks up close was amazing. Watching them fly, learning about their behaviors, and experiencing firsthand the trust and skill involved in falconry gave us an entirely new appreciation for these incredible birds. If you are visiting Colorado Springs, I recommend the Falconry Experience without hesitation. Denise and Scott will provide an experience that exceeds expectations. My son and I left with wonderful memories, a newfound respect for the art of falconry, and a long list of fascinating facts we were still talking about hours later.

My husband and I did this experience with raptors and were completely blown away with how great of an experience it was!! The birds were amazing and obviously well taken care of. Deanna was such a great guide and we learned so much from her about the birds. It was incredible to interact with them and watch them in the outdoors, flying and showing their natural predatory behaviors. I highly recommend this, whether you are particularly a bird lover or not!
