The train starts its journey from Colombo Railway station by 0830 hrs. The train would reach Ella by 1716 hrs. and the most scenic part of the train journey is from Haputale to Hatton. Lakpura organised our tickets and our drive from Negombo. Everything worked like clockwork and we were at Colombo Station in plenty of time. The train ride was everything it’s cracked up to be! Relaxing, bumpy, beautiful - arrived into Ella and all its beauty 9 hours later.
