Organised Tour -Highly recommended

We have visited Sri Lanka before but not ventured into the capital. I chose this trip for it's very reasonable price and hotel pick up from Beruwala. On the morning of the tour the driver was waiting for us and the tour manager was on the phone asking us if we had any special requests for the day which I really liked. We chose to visit the Tulip tower which was amazing! Our driver Sangin was so thoughtful throughout the day asking if we needed comfort breaks and at lunch suggested somewhere by the new dock area where we could have non spicy food. Colombo is a huge city and with lots of traffic we only saw a snippet of the sights there but we loved the old temple and the Colonial Museum (tip- you don't have to visit the art museum attached to it they are separate although the ticket booth info is confusing). A big thanks to our driver for our final stop at "Central Perks" for a much needed real coffee before we joined the highway back to Beruwala.
