It’s basically a car and driver who takes you to 3 or 4 different places And you pay at each place separately for the activity. So it works out really expensive

Fantastic surroundings at Galle Fort, the cricket ground, the ocean, the Dutch and English influences history, it makes for a wonderful tour. We used Lakpura for our tour and the driver was excellent, patient and very generous with his knowledge. We stopped by the turtle hatchery on the way through to Galle which was fantastic. The guide was very informative and it was amazing to pat the turtles (and pick up a baby turtle). The other stop outside of Galle was the gemstone mine which we felt was a tourist trap. The gemstones on offer were literally 5 times recommended retail price. For example, we looked at an uncut amethyst (approximate 3cm length) which they priced at 15,000LKR. Do not buy anything from them. The driver asked what type of food we wanted for lunch, we said local and he recommended Luck Fort Restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had curry for 2 which was an assortment of 10 different curry samples and they were all amazing and very well priced at 1,500LKR which we also had Lion beer to wash it down with.
