The trip was amazing, we took the English version and had Daniel as a guide. He was exceptional and very welcoming and knowledgeable. We got to see wild koalas and a few extra things on top of an already amazing experience. The price is 4x cheaper than other tours of the exact same and I'd wager it's better than the others. Id highly recommend this tour and Daniel especially. Note - it is expected to tip $10-$20 as the tour guide relys on this for a wage from what I've gathered. We didn't know this and felt really bad. Once everything is factored in including tip it is still substantially cheaper and superior to other tours of the same thing. 10/10 🙂.
As with many group day tours these days in many countries, it is mainly organised for Chinese tourists. Having said that, the guide/driver (Alvin) spoke reasonably good English. Don’t expect detailed commentary but we all have phones and there are explanatory signs at signs. Ultimately, it’s a cheap coach tour which takes you to all the sites listed. The views are stunning so it's well worth the trip. A tip is to take a packed lunch or get the scallop pie from the bakery so you can walk on the Apollo Bay beach as one hour there isn’t enough for a sit down meal and explore.
Trip itinerary fantastic... All locations worth visiting... Wonderful scenic beauty with pleasant weather... Great ride... Appreciate Bus Captain Andy for being friendly host.
If you’re looking for a good value full day activity, you can’t go wrong with this one. Only if you don’t mind the tour being in mandarin, which was okay for me but may not be for others. I was the only English speaker on my trip so made sense not to be an English tour.
The driver only spoke Mandarin and very poor English. It was a poor experience. The experience was nowhere close to what was published.
I've usually had no issues when booking via Viator however this experience was quite disappointing as we weren't made aware that the guide could only communicate in Chinese, which greatly impacted my family's travel experience. The time spent on every stop was quite restricted which didn't allow us to digest the experience.
Good value. Reverse travel. Chinese commentary. Nice experience. Scenic tour. Spot koalas. Good for families, young and old
It was a nice guide we had and he showed us lots of good restaurants and nice places both in town and on beaches. It was definitely worth the price. Highly recommended!
