First of all, we were supposed to start our tour in Glasgow and it began in Grenock. We spent more than an hr. walking around Grenock. After we told Stewart (tour guide) that we want to see the River Clyde & Glasgow he finally relented and took us to the Transportation Museum outside of Glasgow where we saw the Clyde River & Glasgow in the distance. We never left the town of Grenock until we insisted that Stewart take us to Glasgow to see the Clyde River. My husband's name is Clyde, which is one reason we chose this tour. Stewart seemed like he was stalling us to stick around the town of Grenock. I would not recommend this tour to anyone who actually wanted to see Glasgow and surrounding hills and villages. Very disappointing. Sorry.
This tour was great. I am not a fan of all day tours so this was perfect. 4 hrs. and we saw a lot. Stewart was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and fun. Private car service and his car was roomy and very clean. We saw and learned about things outside of Glasgow that we would have never known about. Stewart was great at tailoring the experience to what we were showing interest in. We did really luck out on perfect weather so our views and sights were awesome. A very unique perspective on the areas surrounding Glasgow. If you like personal attention this is a great tour. Long enough the see beautiful sights and learn about the history of Scotland and short enough to allow time in your day for other activities. Thanks Stewart you were great!!!
So glad you enjoyed the tour. It was a pleasure showing you the sights.
Spent a wonderful day touring and learning about Scotland from Stewart, who truly is a local Scot with a great passion for Scotland. Our tour group of 4, arrived by Emerald Princess and spent the day learning about the history of Greenock and the Clyde River. We also learned about the importance that the area had with respect to World War II. Our tour included learning about Sir William Wallace, Braveheart with visiting areas where he made history. As we spent the day with Stewart driving us about, he took us to monuments and view points, many of which motor coaches would not have access to. At the historical monuments and locations, Stewart would take quick group photos of us and then emailed them to us after the tour. Thank you Stewart for a GREAT day in Scotland!
So glad you enjoyed your day. It was a real pleasure meeting you all and showing you the sights.
We enjoyed stunning scenery and comfort in the safe hands of lovely Stewart. He brought the tour to life with his knowledgeable commentary and extra little snippets and stories. We'd definitely recommend this trip
