Days of happiness, tranquility and emotion

From the first contacts with Dreamy Tours via whatsapp, I was very well received by Lia who clearly exposed me all the details and procedures for the realization of the Salkantay Trek. The contract, very detailed, left me quite safe, as I was hiring the service about 5 or 6 months in advance. Prior to my departure, Zaida contacted me to confirm the date of my arrival to Cusco and my Airbnb. The day before the Trek, Zaida and the guide who would accompany us, Franklin, of Xtreme Tourbulencia, attended the Airbnb where I was staying to deal with the latest details and also the briefing of Salkantay Trek. Franklin showed great seriousness in explaining all the details, and openness to clear up all our doubts and insecurities. He also left the two bags where we could pack our belongings, with a capacity of up to 6 kg each, and that would be carried by horses. The next day, as agreed, he arrived on time at 4:30 in the morning to take us from the van to the starting point of the walk. It was 4 days of intense walking, climbing and descending the Andes mountains, initially facing the cold and after, days of pleasant heat. We were very lucky, because there was not even a day of rain or rain. Every day was beautiful, with bright and warm sun. My difficulty was the altitude already at the rise of the Humantay lagoon. Very difficult to move, and the lack of air was desperate. My husband was fine, but worried about me and asking me to quit. Franklin, however, kept Standing by my side, always encouraging me. Getting to Laguna was very exciting, and I was very grateful to Franklin and my husband for supporting me. In short, it all went well beyond my expectations. We had restful nights in the domus, in comfortable beds. Complete feeding, with soups, protein, carbohydrates, teas, coffee, fruits, desserts. The staff is always very smiling and friendly. The Franklin always pay attention to all components of the group, behavior and physical ability of each. Although we did not speak Spanish, as Franklin spoke to us in a slow manner, we had no communication difficulties. Finally, we came to the last day, and the cherry of the cake was to know the mystical and beautiful Machu Picchu, with radiant sun and those mountains around breathtaking. Richard, a Portuguese-speaking guide, led us through Machu Picchu. In addition to the detailed explanations, he also photographed us from various angles and in various locations. To conclude, it was a wonderful adventure, with no coincidence. I was impressed with the planning of all the details, logistics, all within the deadlines. A very professional work and above all, a lot of respect and affection. Really, I am very grateful to the Dreamy Tours and Xtreme Tourbulencia team for providing us with such happy and unforgettable moments!!

Book with Extreme

Extreme was very good! They truly wanted us to have a great experience. Gean Carlo was our guide. The food was very good. The team brought hot tea to our tents in the morning and had hot tea and snacks ready after our hike, before dinner. HOWEVER, We booked through Karikuy, I would not recommend this, communication was poor and inaccurate on details important to a backpacker. Be sure to book directly with Extreme. We had a group of 7 people, which was smaller than most of the groups we saw on the trail that had 15+ people. (we did the classic 4 day Inca trail.)

Inca Trail 4 days in June 2026

We were fortunate to be guided by Jainor, a young man who dedicatedly accompanied us for the 4 days, providing us with information clearly and educationally, making the entire journey very engaging, and taking care of the organization of all aspects of the experience exceptionally. He gave his all throughout the journey, even providing medical assistance to my partner who injured her knee, allowing us to complete the tour and enjoy the landscapes and archaeological sites to the fullest. His connection with nature and the Andes is conveyed in his way of speaking and everything he has to contribute at each particular moment. We truly recommend him 100% with my partner!

The best experience in Peru

The experience of the Inca Trail was simply perfect, organized down to the last detail. The wonderful landscape framed a unique and extraordinary experience. The professionalism, friendliness, and intelligence of Wilbert, our guide, accompanied us during the four days of trekking, alleviating the fatigue. The cuisine, led by Sam, was truly exquisite, a perfect refreshment.

A real trekking experience.

Our Salkantay Trek experience was absolutely incredible and exceeded every expectation. The breathtaking scenery, challenging trails, and unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu made this a trip of a lifetime. A very special thank you goes to our guide, Joel. From the first day to the last, he kept our group safe, informed, and motivated. His knowledge of the region, history, culture, and trail was outstanding, and he always made sure everyone understood what to expect each day. Most importantly, Joel Huillca provided constant encouragement and positive moral support, helping every member of our group stay confident and focused, especially during the more challenging sections of the trek. His professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm made all the difference. We would also like to recognize the amazing chefs and horsemen who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. The meals were exceptional—far beyond what we ever expected on a mountain trek. Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and a highlight of each day. The horsemen did an outstanding job caring for the equipment and ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the journey. For anyone considering this adventure, understand that this is true trekking. The sleeping accommodations, bathing opportunities, and bathroom facilities are exactly what you would expect in remote mountain conditions. This is not a luxury experience—it is an authentic trekking experience. The hike is both physically and mentally demanding, particularly at altitude, and proper preparation is essential. We highly recommend researching the trek thoroughly, training beforehand, and making sure you are prepared for all aspects of the journey. The more prepared you are, the more rewarding the experience will be. This entire team worked together seamlessly to create an unforgettable adventure. We highly recommend this trek and are incredibly grateful to Joel, the chefs, and the horsemen for making our journey safe, enjoyable, and truly memorable. If you come prepared for the challenge, the rewards are beyond worth it.

Fantastic tour through the Andes and the jungle.

The 5 days were one of the best things I have done while traveling. Everything was top-notch organized from start to finish. Our tour guide Dario was absolutely amazing. If anyone loves their job, it is him; he did it with full dedication for the whole group and did an excellent job. I would do it again anytime (even if it seems a bit expensive at first).
