Itinerary
We begin in Preseren Square, the beating heart of the city. We learn basic history of Ljubljana before we explore the different sights that are located at the square.
We learn about France Preseren, a truly colorful figure whose poetry inspired the nation during the Romantic days of the 19th Century. Find out why he was no Romeo and why we consider him to be our national poet.
Find out about our most famous architect, Jože Plečnik, whose works are considered a UNESCO heritage site, and who is responsible for Ljubljana looking as it does today, and why we have a Triple Bridge in the center
Ljubljana's Colonade is one of Plečnik's most amazing creations. Its an enormous structure that holds many secrets and surprises.

Lucy was our guide. She was fabulous! Clear, knowledgeable, humourous! Lucy’s explanation of Ljubljana’s history really made our vacation a more enriching experience.
My family of four (kids 15 and 13) loved our walking tour with Lana. My 13yo expected it to be boring but really enjoyed it. Lana provided so much history but made it really fun.
We went on a free tour of Ljubljana upon our arrival. It was a fascinating introduction to a city that we knew very little about previously. Our guide, Tina, took us around some of the main sights of interest and her informed and interesting commentary blended history, current affairs, culture, art, and architecture. What was particularly striking were her illuminating comments on what it was like to live under four different regimes in succession based on her own family's history.

A perfect introduction to the beautiful city of Ljubljana. Our tour guide Lucy did a fantastic job and was incredibly charming and knowledgeable. It only takes about 90 minutes - Highly recommend this tour to begin your exploration of this gem of a city, rich in history.

I had a wonderful tour with Tina (number 2) on Tues the 30th of June. The meeting place was so easy to find and I instantly felt welcome and not awkward, which can happen as a solo traveller. Tina was very enthusiastic about the beautiful city and this made the tour even better. I left that tour understanding alot more about the history and identity of Ljubljana. Would definitely recommend!

A great way to learn some of the history of Ljubljana and Slovenia and a good chance to orientate yourself on arriving in the city. A friendly guide who did her best to keep us in shade on a super hot day but also keep the tour informative and fun.

We joined the 9.30 am tour on Sat June 20th. Sorry, I don't remember names very well but she was great, keeping us all engaged, even though the weather was very hot! Great tour, very informative and she has a lovely voice - easy to understand and very good English. Don't miss out! Book today!

Excellent start for a Ljubljana holiday! Getting throuh the local history in a fun and informative way. Our guide Ines was well informed and helpful! The tour lastend approximately 2 hours. You can tip the guide whatever you decade the tour is worth, for 2 hours I believe 15€ per person reasonable
