... to create your own mask with your imagination , and if you do not have the artistic temperament, Alexia and her very friendly colleagues help you feel like an artist for a few moments!!! This is the 3rd one I realize at their house and the result is always great (latest = blue!) Little advice, it's pretty hard to find ... landmark = Church of Santi Giovanni & Paolo (easier than from Rialto!)
Such a great experience, unforgettable truly, Jacobo was our mask maker master, he is very friendly and polite, i strongly recommend you visit the atelier, boost your confidence and increases your creativity, he will guide you step by step, he will explain the history of the Venetian mask and make this experience on of the best you might have had.
A wonderful and unforgettable experience! I recommend it to everyone! The owners are extremely kind people. If you find yourself in Venice, be sure to visit their mask making workshop and support a tradition that has been in the family for generations. A lot can be learned at the workshop. The owner is very friendly and patiently and professionally answers all your questions. Fun is also guaranteed, and you take home part of the Venetian tradition -> your unique mask!
Great workshop for the children, they loved it (4 and 6 years old)! Little extra: they speak French! The children were able to decorate their mask, a very beautiful souvenir of Venice (made in Italy). The staff is very kind.
Very nice workshop to do. Very friendly people also! Good vibe...we liked it a lot, had a lot of fun too!
Thank you very much !! See you soon in Venice
I had a great time. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Everyone was so nice. The options were endless. I definitely would go back again
Thank you very much Theresa it has been a pleasure to meet you. You are a very talented pupil. See you soon
More than 2 hours workshop for an authentic Venetian mask. See the photo that testifies! We learned to use gold or silver leaf, feathers, colors with all forms of masks. Igor is very available. A great experience.
Thank you very uch Best regards
We were in the workshop today and got to design and make our own masks - a really wonderful experience! Granted, I was a bit skeptical at first - but the two operators (I don't know their names unfortunately) were super friendly and helpful. Apparently, there are only a few “real” mask manufacturers left in Venice - this workshop is one of them and delivers all over the world. Real, authentic professionals! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it - and surprisingly we were also very happy with the result. Full of pride we now go home with “our” masks - a great souvenir :)
Thank you very uch Best regards
Just over a year ago, in April, I was married in Venice. We travelled around Europe for two months but one of the most wonderful moments in all my journey was the few hours I spent over two days making a mask at Sogno Veneziano Atelier. My wife bought this for me as a present, knowing my love for masks and ancient crafts, and it one of the best and most thoughtful presents as ever I have received. The mask I made is the one I'm wearing in the picture attached. Not only was the two day short course enjoyable and enriching, sending me away with the basis of a whole new skill, the staff were joyous people whom it was lovely to meet. I remained with Ektor and Igor (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and the two wonderful women also working there that day (whose names escape me now, a year later, also very sorry) for hours after my allotted time a they helped me finish touches on my mask, helped me practice my vestigial Venetian language skills, and regaled me with the philosophy and history of Venice. Igor spoke with me at length about his appreciation for true tourists who wanted to experience the life blood of his city and how he never wanted to treat tourists as a 'cash machine,' as some other tourist experiences may wish to do. This is one of the few genuine mask shops left in Venice that use no pre-made parts or plastics or shortcuts. My only regret is that it has taken me so long to get around to writing this review. I'll also add that this has been a hard year for Venice, with floods, plague, and the damage of cruise ships. Please, if you have time now or in the future, support genuine Venetian businesses such as this one. You will feel like you have really touched something close to the heart of one of the most beautiful cities on Earth.
Thank you very uch Best regards
We offered our little girl Flavie to create and decorate the mask she would keep as a souvenir of her Venetian getaway between middle school and high school. Very warm Welcoming from the owner and very professional for the explanations and technical assistance throughout the morning after which Flavie surprised us to leave her course wearing the mask she had just realized. An unmissable address for those who want to create and decorate their mask and close to Santi Giovanni e Paolo and the scuola grande di San Marco.
Thank you very uch Best regards
