The Metrocable is a cable car network, of the monocable type; for the urban mobilization of passengers in Medellín.
The Medellín River has been one of the main sources of development in the city. Not in vain, the first Metro line was built following that flow that crosses the entire Metropolitan Area and creating a harmonious relationship between the region and its tributary. This is just one example of a territorial planning model that has been consolidated for 60 years and that allows the planning and integrated growth of the territory to be coordinated while respecting the river.
Our guides pick up passengers in the lobby or waiting room of the hotel where they are staying. Travelers are then taken for a ride on the Metro cable cars or better known as Metro Cable, this place offers incredible panoramic views of the city of Medellín, ideal for those passionate about photography. Then we went with the travelers to the neighborhood of Comuna 13, there we showed them street art of the place composed of a Break Dance Show, a Rap Show and what interests us most, all the graffiti in the place. Sometimes when we are lucky we can see the works that are in progress and when this happens we can interact with the artists. Throughout the entire tour in Comuna 13 we will be accompanied by a Local guide who will tell us the meaning of each of the works.
To carry out the tour in the Commune 13 we will use the electrical stairs of the place, which represent the engine of change for this community. Initially they were installed to improve the mobility of people within the place, but over the years it became the letter of introduction of the Commune 13, that is, with this infrastructure work began all the transformation of the place accompanied by art urban.

Great tour and Juan David is an excellent guide. Very informative and the trip did not feel rushed, despite having many stops.
We went to multiple tourist hotspots and learned a little more about Medellin. Our favorite spot was Parque de Los Pies Descalzos and Comuna 13. The tour guide for Comuna 13 was really well versed since she grew up in the area and provided us with an extensive history over the common misconceptions of the neighborhood.
Luna, very good!! The problem was just the driver.
This is the second time I have done this activity with MaxiTours. And I always take away a lesson, an experience, and new friendships. This time I brought my mom to experience a little piece of Medellín on this city tour and the Comuna, to learn about the culture, a bit of the gastronomy, its people, and their joy. A complete tour with a very cool guide (Juan David) and super thorough, with the best attitude, excellent command of languages, and history. Thank you, team!
Good tour, the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. As a recommendation, they should remove Plaza Botero from the itinerary; it is not interesting and is unsafe. With that time, more could be dedicated to Pueblito Paisa or other points that would make better use of that time.
Really worth doing! Very interesting, learned a lot about Medellin, but also Colombia in general. Juan was a great great guide and helped me enjoy it even more!
Excellent agency, I recommend it 100%
Everything was excellent, super organized, thank you
How can you advertise ENGLISH tour and out of 28 people I am the only english speaker.....it was not advertised as a combination tour it was ENGLISH TOUR that was advertisd. Why book spanish speakers tourist on a english tour that is labeled english tour and then the tour becomes a spanish tour and I feel like I am out of place, I don't understand anything, I can't speak to anyone. The guide speaks 30 mins of spanish and then when I see everyone getting off the bus he said ohh Shashane follow me, like seriously. He's pointing out buildings and showing spots and I have no idea because he is speaking Spanish on an english tour. I keep emphasizing that because no I do not expect an entire country to learn English to accommodate me of course not. What I do expect is that if I booked an ENGLISH tour I will be on an ENGLISH tour not a spanish tour with a touch of english. Advertise english/ spanish tour then since spanish is the dominant language and then I wouldn't book....but do not advertise english tour and then nobody speaks english. I want to be able to understand something I paid for. They also told me they do not pick up from my location....I walked to the bus....then the bus drove pass my hotel....seriously.....I was the only one for that pickup location too so just picking me up as they drove by could have been arranged. The tour guide tried his best to include me but I felt put of place because everyone is speaking amongst themselves and I seem out of place. I'd reccommend the guide because he was great but as for the company that placed an english speaker with 28 spanish speakers on an ENGLISH tour I'd would not reccommend.
Excellent guide Juan David, very attentive and responsible.
